Suwon roastery café with anaerobic bean hand drips: Jeong Ji-young
In short
Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch is a roastery café on Haengridan-gil in Suwon's Haenggung-dong that fills an entire building, with a roasting room on the first floor where the beans are roasted in house. Orders are placed on basement level 1, and two hand-drip cups — Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 and Colombia El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Lychee Peach — left a fruity aroma in the mouth even after the last sip. Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters is worth a stop for anyone who wants coffee with real character.

Among the many cafés in Haenggung-dong, there's one known across Suwon for its coffee — Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch, a place that carries the roaster's care and stubbornness in every cup. It's more than a café for drinking coffee — it feels like a hideout for true coffee lovers, a space devoted to bringing out the most compelling range of flavors from the beans themselves.
If you want to really enjoy coffee, this is a café I'd recommend visiting whenever you're in Suwon!! Let me introduce it~
Hours and parking at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch
Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch is open Monday through Sunday, 11:00–22:00, with last order at 21:50. It's near Haengridan-gil, so it's close to lots of hot spots — accessibility is great haha. There's no dedicated parking, so you'll need to use a public parking lot!!

From the first-floor roasting room to ordering in the basement
The whole building is Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters, so it's easy to find. The café is organized by floor, and the entrance on the 1st floor is a roasting room!! Peeking in from outside, there were tons of beans and machines for roasting and storing them — it almost felt like a coffee factory.

You walk in through the entrance, head down the stairs, and order your drink in the basement.

What's on the menu and dessert case
Check out the menu~ The signature coconut coffee is famous and delicious, and the hand-drip coffee is great too! Since I was at a roastery café, I went for drip coffee. There were plenty of desserts besides coffee too~ They even had the fresh-fruit sando (fruit sandwich) that's trending these days!!

Suwoni the frog goods and Hwaseong Haenggung drip bags
Behind the ordering counter there was a whole goods display, so I browsed while waiting for my coffee — everything from Suwoni, the city of Suwon's cute frog mascot, to cups and other pretty little items haha. If you're traveling in Suwon, it seems like a nice spot to pick up a souvenir haha.

They also sold cold brew and drip bags. The drip bag packaging has a drawing of Hwaseong Haenggung Palace on it, which would make a great gift, and the price was easy on the wallet too!!

Second-floor seating, third-floor coffee academy and fifth-floor rooftop
With my coffee in hand, I headed up to the 2nd floor. The atmosphere is calm and quiet!! It's nice for chatting comfortably with a friend, and just as good for sitting alone with your thoughts over coffee hahaha.

There's even a Jeong Ji-young coffee academy on the 3rd floor?? A café with its own coffee academy... this is the real deal, I thought. Above that, there's seating on the 4th and 5th floors, and the 5th floor is a rooftop~~!!

Two hand drips: Ethiopia Momora and Colombia anaerobic lychee peach
From the drip coffees, I ordered Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 and Colombia El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Lychee Peach!!
- ✅ Ethiopia Momora Natural, just as the bean notes described, had jammy sweet fruit aromas blending smoothly with bright apricot and peach tones. The acidity wasn't overdone, and the sweetness balance in the mouth was really pleasant!
- ✅ Colombia El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Lychee Peach uses beans fermented with anaerobic processing for a bold, showy flavor — exactly what I was hoping for. From the moment I brought the cup to my nose to the moment it lingered in my mouth, the tartness of red fruit bloomed together with lychee and sweet peach aromas. Even after finishing the cup, the fragrance stayed in my mouth — it felt fresh and different, almost like drinking a fruit tea!
If you love distinctive, fragrant coffee, or if you're a real coffee enthusiast, you have to try this!! Highly recommend.

The sticker they give you with your coffee order is so cute too hahaha — a little detail that shows the owner's love for Suwon haha. The coffee is great, but this café is also a wonderful way to soak in the feel of Haenggung. Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters main branch really doesn't miss a beat — if you're stopping by Haenggung-dong and want to really taste good coffee, I highly recommend this place.
