Whenever we come to Magok, we usually end up going to the same old places, but this time my wife said one little thing: “I want tacos,” haha. So I started searching for good taco places in Magok, and one spot with over 5,000 reviews popped right up. I was half doubtful—“Is this place really that good? Are all those reviews real?”—but we made a reservation and went... Ah, it really was that good 😍 Hamin, my wife, and I all left happy!
Taqueros Magok Main Branch: location and parking

It is less than a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of Magok Station, so it is easily accessible by public transportation too! If you are driving, the building has its own parking garage, so you can visit without worrying about parking. They offer two hours of free parking, which gave us plenty of time to relax over our meal :)
I heard it gets lots of office-worker customers in the evening and on weekends, so we reserved ahead. Our reserved table was ready, and we sat down right away with no wait! I strongly recommend making a reservation 👍
A Mexican family restaurant-like atmosphere

The moment we walked in, I thought, “Are we really in Korea?” haha. There was red décor throughout, dim lighting, frames and little objects full of Mexican flair, plus a bar lined with tequila bottles...

It completely had the feel of a Mexican family restaurant.

It was atmospheric and exotic, but not at all awkward for a family visit. If anything, Hamin’s eyes got wide as he busily looked around at everything, haha.

It felt like a space that would be perfect for birthday parties, pre-wedding gatherings, or group meetups too.
The Signature Couple Set ordered by QR
Ordering is easy by QR code. Being able to browse and choose comfortably at the table made it convenient to order while soothing our child :)

They also had chicken tacos, enchiladas, individual fajitas, a kids’ menu, Jarritos Mexican soda, and a wide range of drinks including tequila. We ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set. It comes with fajitas, a fish taco, and a chicken taco, making it an ideal combination for first-time visitors!
Complimentary nachos and cheese sauce

They bring these out as a complimentary starter before you even order 😍 Dipping crisp nacho chips into the thick, warm cheese sauce was already so delicious.

And then... Hamin completely conquered them, haha. At first I thought he was only having a little, but my wife and I burst out laughing when we saw him seriously picking up the nachos himself and dipping them in cheese sauce 😂

Thanks to that, we only got to eat a few nachos ourselves, haha, but that also shows how easily kids can enjoy this food!
Smoky fajitas and sauce combinations
There was a generous mix of meats—grilled chicken, shrimp, pulled pork, and chorizo beef—along with Mexican rice and sautéed vegetables.

The smoky aroma hit us the moment it arrived at the table.

There was a generous selection of sauces too.

It was fun choosing what to add according to our tastes: guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapeños, and salsa.

Another highlight: they give you plenty of tortillas from the start, and you can get refills! For anyone who feels awkward asking for extra tortillas at a Mexican restaurant, there is no need to worry here 👍 I had mine with grilled chicken, sour cream, and pico de gallo, and the bright, rich flavor was so good. Honestly, my favorite bite was the last one, when I piled in all the remaining ingredients, haha.
Have the fish taco and chicken taco while warm

The set includes one of each.

The fish taco features fish fried in a craft-beer batter, with absolutely no fishy smell! One bite of the crispy coating with the creamy sauce and you immediately understand why it is a popular menu item.

The chicken taco has juicy grilled chicken topped with mustard sauce, and I kept reaching for it even after eating the fajitas.

Both had soft tortillas and fresh vegetables, so they were easy to eat without feeling heavy.

Tacos taste best while warm, so I recommend eating them before the fajitas!
