Gangnam hair salon gray-coverage dye and head spa: Beorn Hair

Hi, this is Dotori! My hair color had gotten patchy all over lately and I was also worried about gray hairs, so I went and got an all-over dye for the first time in a while!

This time I visited Beorn Hair Cheongdam near Gangnam-gu Office. It's close to my company and had tons of reviews, so I made an on-the-spot decision to go — and I'm totally satisfied 👍

Beorn Hair Cheongdam is near Gangnam-gu Office Station, so it wasn't hard to find at all! It's on the 2nd floor of the building, so just check the floor directory and head on up.

Arrived at the entrance! The whole place felt clean and bright, so my first impression was already good the moment I walked in! I'm honestly pretty picky about the interior vibe when I go to a salon, and this one didn't feel chaotic at all — comfortable to get my hair done in.

On one side, hair products were displayed neatly like this. There was quite a variety! They sell a bunch of different products, so browsing them while waiting was a fun little bonus '0'

Interior with wide spacing between seats

The interior is spacious and the seats are spaced far apart, so there was no cramped feeling during the service! There were even a lot of standalone seats, which made things feel pretty comfortable :)

My assigned seat was so spacious that I could just take a ton of photos without feeling self-conscious.

I was taken care of by Designer Hannah! She had a ton of reviews and they were all so good, so I already trusted her 200% when I booked.

Consultation for a gray-coverage tone-down color

Before actually dyeing, we looked at a color chart together and discussed what shade I wanted. Even with the same color, results can vary a bit depending on your current hair color or existing dye history, right? So being able to compare colors directly like this during the consultation and decide together was great!

I wanted to keep a bit of red tone while focusing mainly on covering the grays, so instead of a brighter shade, we went with a slightly lower brightness, a touch of red, and an overall tone-down.

And one thing that really caught my eye at Beorn Hair Cheongdam was the interior! There's a space decorated with plants and stones right in the middle of the salon, giving it a slightly different vibe from a typical hair salon. With white tones combined with wood furniture, the overall feeling was clean yet cozy. The store itself is pretty spacious too, so I could get my hair done without feeling boxed in :)

They also gave me a drink and some light snacks to have during the service! Since an all-over dye takes a fair bit of time, these little touches were genuinely nice haha. I sipped my drink and waited comfortably!

Scalp massage done alongside the shampoo

After the dye was done, they gave me a head spa along with the shampoo! This was personally my favorite part... ♥ They did a scalp massage while washing my hair, and it felt so refreshing!! I'd gotten a bit tired sitting for so long during the dye process, but the cool, refreshing scalp massage really melted the fatigue away haha. It wasn't just a shampoo — it felt like getting a proper spa treatment, so I was very satisfied.

This is what my hair looked like before dyeing! The old color had faded unevenly across my whole head, and on top of that, way too many gray hairs were showing through as the color faded 🥲

Ta-da! Here's how it looked after the all-over dye was finished :) Compared to before, the color came out evenly all over, with a calm brown finish! It's not too bright or too red — a color that falls naturally without being over the top, which makes it perfect for everyday wear. And can you see the slight shine in the hair even from the photo? Haha.

The thing I always worry about most with an all-over dye is damage, right? Since I have long hair, I was worried the ends would get dry and brittle after dyeing, but instead there was no sense of damage at all — if anything, it felt even softer!!! When I ran my hand through it, it was smooth, and by the end my hair was practically flowing 😙 It wasn't just the color that turned out pretty — my hair texture felt cleanly taken care of too, which I liked even more.

To sum up

I got an all-over dye done here! I loved being able to get the color consultation, the all-over dye, and the head spa all in one visit, and the scalp massage during the shampoo especially stuck with me because it felt so refreshing haha. Even after dyeing, my hair barely felt dry — instead it finished soft and flowing, so I was really happy with it! If you're near Gangnam-gu Office and thinking about an all-over dye or a hair color change, I'd say this place is worth checking out :)
