I was trying to decide what to eat in Yeonnam-dong and suddenly craved pizza after a while, so I headed to Sunny's Pizza Market, a well-known pizza restaurant in the area. Yeonnam-dong has so many great restaurants, but if you're a pizza lover you've probably heard of this one. It's been steadily selected for the Blue Ribbon Survey, so I was curious and decided to check it out myself.

Sunny's Pizza Market is right there as soon as you go up to the 2nd floor. The tables have a comfortable amount of space and the vibe overall is pretty casual. It seemed like a good spot to come with friends for pizza, and also fine for a Yeonnam-dong date.

The window side has full glass windows, and it seems like they always keep them open on nice-weather days like these. It was cool and nice to eat while watching the distinct Yeonnam-dong atmosphere outside. There were also cute little pizza-shop-style props scattered around the store, fun to look at, haha.

Is the self-serve sauce bar free?

The self-serve bar at Sunny's Pizza Market is free to use, no extra charge. There's hot sauce, parmesan cheese, garlic sauce and more to go with your pizza, and you can take as much as you want. This self-serve bar was actually one of the things I liked most.

The fact that it's free with no extra charge was such a nice touch!! I like dipping my pizza in garlic sauce and usually add it on, so it was genuinely nice to dip generously without worrying about the cost, for once in a while :)

R-size half-and-half: smooth potato and combination

That day we ordered an R-size half-and-half pizza at Sunny's Pizza Market. Choosing just one flavor felt like a waste, so we split it between two. We went with smooth potato + combination — one half soft and savory potato, the other familiar and hearty combination, so you get two different flavors on one pie. Definitely a menu I'd recommend.

The moment the pizza arrived, it already looked delicious. Plenty of cheese piled on, and the toppings were very generous too. Taking a slice while it was still warm, the pizza itself was genuinely tasty — I could see why it's mentioned so often as a Yeonnam-dong pizza favorite. The smooth potato in particular was my top pick, and the combination was also great with its rich toppings.

Best combination: pizza with garlic sauce

My recommended combo is pizza plus garlic sauce. I grabbed plenty from the self-serve bar and dipped the pizza generously — a perfect match..bb Since I'm someone who loves garlic dipping sauce with pizza, being able to use as much as I wanted with no extra charge was such a plus.

Is Sunny's Pizza Market worth a visit?

If you're looking for a great pizza restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, Sunny's Pizza Market is worth a visit at least once. If you're torn between two flavors like we were, I'd recommend ordering the R-size half-and-half to enjoy smooth potato and combination side by side.

Being able to freely use the hot sauce, parmesan cheese, and garlic sauce with no extra charge was also great, since it let me eat the pizza exactly to my taste. If you're looking for a pizza restaurant for a Yeonnam-dong date or a meal with friends, I recommend Sunny's Pizza Market :)
