Suwon restaurant after a Haenggung-dong bookshop: Low Five Sinpung

On a relaxed weekday afternoon, I stopped by an independent bookstore in Haenggung-dong to browse some books before heading to Low Five Sinpung. With its hip atmosphere and a wide range of Italian dishes, it made a great Haenggung-dong date course — here's my visit!

It was a perfectly crisp autumn day for reading. I stopped by an independent bookstore-slash-book café in Haenggung-dong and spent a leisurely time reading. I'd also recommend it as a unique fall date course in Haenggung-dong 🍂

Where is Low Five Sinpung, and how are parking and waiting?

Low Five Sinpung is located at 32 Sinpung-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor. It's about a 4-minute walk from Suwon Museum of Art, making it easy to stop by while exploring Haenggung-dong. If you're driving, you can use the nearby public parking lots.

Inside Low Five Sinpung: a wood-toned hall that works for a date

The spacious interior combined with wood-tone decor created a hip yet comfortable atmosphere. It's a space where you can relax from brunch through dinner, so it works well for dates and also for hanging out with friends :)

We ordered a half-and-half pizza with corn pizza and hot pepperoni pizza, plus truffle cream pasta and classic lasagna.

The self-bar has parmesan cheese powder, hot sauce, water, tissues, and wet wipes, so you can help yourself comfortably.

How did the truffle cream pasta, half-and-half pizza and classic lasagna taste?

First up was the truffle cream pasta. The grilled mushrooms and subtle truffle aroma added a savory flavor that was really delicious (♡)

The noodles were cooked to a chewy texture that paired well with the creamy sauce, giving it a rich flavor — personally my favorite dish of the meal.

Next was Low Five's signature dish, pizza, which we tried as a half-and-half this time. The combination of sweet corn pizza and hot pepperoni pizza was just right 🍕

My sister and I ordered three dishes between the two of us, so we got to try everything from pizza to pasta to lasagna. If you visit, I'd recommend this same combination :)

Finally, the classic lasagna, made with layers of long-simmered tomato ragu sauce, lasagna sheets, and cheese, had a soft texture from the first bite along with a rich ragu flavor that kept us coming back for more.

Trying a variety of Italian dishes in a great atmosphere, my sister and I enjoyed a relaxed evening date in Haenggung-dong ♥

Overall, the portions were generous — the pasta in particular was so filling that we enjoyed every bite right down to the last one :)

Why Low Five Sinpung fits a Haenggung-dong day out

That's my introduction to Low Five Sinpung. It was great being able to enjoy a variety of Italian dishes at a relaxed pace in a comfortable space. Reading at an independent bookstore in Haenggung-dong and then having dinner at Low Five made for a lovely autumn outing course.
