The weather's been so good lately and I've been in such a good mood~ I love the feeling of going out to hunt for good restaurants too!! I went to a super value-for-money omakase sushi spot in Yeongdeungpo~ These days, when I want a special lunch, the first thing that comes to mind is omakase. Omakase used to feel like such a splurge, but now there are more places offering it at reasonable prices, so I've started treating it like a little gift to myself.
This time I went to a special lunch omakase at Sushi Hibi, located near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. I booked ahead by reservation, and I'd like to recommend this place to anyone thinking about omakase in Yeongdeungpo.
Sushi Hibi lunch: two reservation seatings, 12:00 and 1:20
Sushi Hibi's lunch is split into two seatings. There's a gap between the noon seating and the 1:20–2:20pm seating, which felt relaxed and nice ^^ The moment I walked in, the clean, tidy atmosphere caught my eye right away. The upscale interior and calm lighting made it perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal even during lunchtime.
The restroom was clean too, and the whole place had such a settled, comfortable vibe!! There's also a spot in the back to leave your coat!! That stable atmosphere made the whole meal feel even more relaxed.

The biggest charm of omakase is that the chef serves you the best ingredients in the tastiest way possible. Sushi Hibi was impressive too, with each piece made with such care.

One thing to remember — you can only enter 5 minutes before your seating!! The autumn sky was so beautiful that day, wasn't it?? And the open-kitchen counter was set up so neatly.

What the Sushi Hibi lunch course includes, from the menu board
Let's take a look at the menu first~~

The lunch course started with pre-meal dishes, followed by various seasonal dishes served one after another.

Every time a dish came out, the chef explained it and interacted with the guests, which was impressive. I could feel the chef's heart in each and every course.
The octopus was cooked just right, and it paired well with the noodles. Each piece was so fresh it just melted in my mouth!! The chef also gave tips, telling us to try it with both soy sauce and salt ^^ Every plate that came out felt so full of care.
I even wanted to eat the maple leaf decoration haha. Looking at the pretty dishware was honestly healing.

The miso soup was delicious too~~ Looking back at these photos, I can't forget any of the flavors.

Sushi Hibi piece by piece: aging, seasoning, and the rice balance
The sushi melted in my mouth too, each piece was truly moving ^^ The fish was aged just right, and the seasoning wasn't too strong at all. It really brought out the natural umami of the fish!!

Each piece came with a different sauce or topping to enjoy. Even the finely chopped scallion topping was surprisingly delicious.

Three whole pieces of sweet shrimp — so soft and so delicious!!

I still can't forget the nutty flavor of the uni!!

The dishes served in between were satisfying too. Warm dishes came out warm, cold dishes came out fresh — the course flowed so smoothly, and the palate-refreshing composition made the hour fly by ^^

The tuna's soft, fatty richness was impressive, and the flounder had a light yet chewy texture that was really appealing. The shrimp's natural sweetness came through beautifully, making for a perfect meal. The natural flavor of the ingredients mattered, and the pickled ginger — which I love — also enhanced the taste.

The freshness of the mackerel along with the nutty flavor of the conger eel!! And to cleanse the palate, even a sip of Ebisu beer~~~ Omakase can feel like such a burden sometimes, so people often only go for special occasions, but Sushi Hibi's lunch course offered really high satisfaction for the price. Considering the freshness of the ingredients, the composition, and the service~~~ this is a top value-for-money restaurant!!
I still can't forget the flavors, right to the very end!!

The udon had thin noodles too, and the broth paired so well with them, it was delicious.

Is Sushi Hibi good for dates, meals with parents, or a work lunch?
Sushi Hibi seems like a great fit not just for dates, but for meals with parents, anniversaries, gatherings with friends, and office lunch outings too. The quiet atmosphere made conversation easy, and the pacing of the dishes was just right for a relaxed meal.

And the clean finish of the strawberry sorbet~~ It was a truly perfect lunch.
If you're looking for sushi omakase in Yeongdeungpo especially, I think Sushi Hibi is worth visiting at least once. It's easy to access and the food is polished enough that I'd definitely want to come back. Personally, what stuck with me most was the balance in each piece of sushi. The harmony between the fish and the rice was great, and the whole course flowed so naturally that even the final dessert felt satisfying.
It was a perfect lunchtime, not just in taste but in service and atmosphere too. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for good sushi near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office. If you're after quality omakase in Yeongdeungpo, you'll be 1,000 percent satisfied!!
