Gwangalli salmon restaurant date after dress fitting: Salmon Brothers
In short
Salmon Brothers is a second-floor salmon specialty restaurant at 49 Gwangan-ro in Gwangalli, Suyeong-gu, Busan. After a wedding dress fitting, the writer and her fiancé ordered 300g of salmon sashimi (28,000 won) and aglio olio pasta (15,000 won), and the mild salmon and spicy pasta cut each other's richness. Driving there meant no drinks, the only regret in an otherwise satisfying Gwangalli date course.

Why Salmon Brothers works as a Gwangalli date after a dress fitting
Today, since we were already out for my wedding dress fitting, my fiancé and I decided to enjoy a Gwangalli date too. Getting to date in Gwangalli and eat delicious salmon at the same time made for the perfect course. Up to the 2nd floor we go ~

Salmon Brothers menu: sets are 5,000 won cheaper
📍 Note that the set menu is ₩5,000 cheaper than ordering items separately. It's nice that there are various pasta options alongside the salmon dishes — eating salmon alone can get a little rich after a while, so ordering pasta with it is great for sharing the flavors.

What is the atmosphere like inside Salmon Brothers?
The moment I stepped inside — what is this atmosphere. With its soft lighting, it's cozy and full of mood, which would make it perfect for a blind date too. It's also great for quiet conversation, so I'd recommend it for a date spot as well. The vibe felt easy enough to visit alone too, so it seems like a comfortable place to enjoy a solo drink ☺️

Since we drove today, we sadly had to settle for cola instead. It even came with a cute little bear-shaped ice cube. Bear, go take a bath!! Next time I'll definitely have to come back and properly enjoy a drink.

Salmon sashimi 300g for 28,000 won: 300g or 200g?
Salmon sashimi 300g / ₩28,000. I want to recommend enjoying this one with drinks, no question! I'm still kicking myself for not being able to drink!!!

We debated for a while between 200g and 300g, and ended up ordering the 300g.

Some argued for just 200g since salmon is fatty, but we decided it would probably be delicious anyway and went with 300g! In the end, we were glad we ordered the 300g — we ate it up happily.
Squeezing a little lemon on the salmon sashimi between bites adds freshness, cutting through the richness and making it even tastier.

Aglio olio pasta for 15,000 won with plump shrimp
The aglio olio pasta is ₩15,000. I always had the impression that aglio olio, despite not having much in it, tends to be pricey,

but Salmon Brothers' aglio olio was more filling than expected, loaded with plump shrimp, mushrooms, and plenty of sliced garlic.

The noodles were flat too, so the sauce soaked in well, making it even tastier.

I was busy going back and forth between the pasta and the salmon.

Salmon sashimi wrapped in gamtae (seaweed), eaten between bites of pasta
Salmon sashimi wrapped in gamtae (dried laver) is a delicacy too!! The subtle aroma of the gamtae goes so well with the soft taste of the salmon.

This pasta is perfect to order alongside the salmon sashimi. The salmon is mild and soft, while the pasta brings a spicy kick — the combination worked really well together. The spicy pasta cut through the richness you'd otherwise feel from eating just salmon, so we enjoyed it a lot.

Wait, even the water isn't just plain bottled water?! The care put into even these small details — what is this.

Today I briefly forgot about dress fitting and everything else and went all in on eating. Salmon, then pasta, then wrapping it in gamtae, then another bite... so busy, haha.

We also refilled the tartar sauce for the salmon and dipped generously. Having plenty of sauce made it even tastier!

Final verdict on dinner at Salmon Brothers
They even had rubber bands and dental floss ready at the table. On the way out, they gave us candy and a cute sticker too, so we left in a good mood.
The aglio olio is a real must-try! It was slightly spicy and packed with big, plump shrimp — so good. The salmon was soft and tasty too, and my fiancé even said, 'This place is good' haha. It would have been even better with a drink, but since we couldn't drink that day, it was a little disappointing.
