Today I visited "Dongcheonhong," a must-try restaurant in Bongdam, Hwaseong! 🩵 Dongcheonhong is one of the most recommended Chinese restaurants in Bongdam on mom cafés! 🤍
Where is Dongcheonhong Bongdam, and where do you park?
Dongcheonhong Bongdam Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor above the Fila store on Samcheonbyeongma-ro in Bongdam. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:30, closed only on major holidays.
Right in front of Dongcheonhong is Myeongjangsidae, and there's a huge parking lot in front of Fila!

It's right next to Myeongjangsidae, a well-known bakery in Bongdam, and the parking lot is really spacious! Now let's take a closer look~??(о´∀`о)
What's on the menu at Dongcheonhong Bongdam

Dongcheonhong's menu is really varied, especially with a lot of upscale Chinese dishes, along with the usual jjajangmyeon and jjamppong! They also have course sets and combo menus, making it a great spot for visitors to Bongdam or for treating your parents!
The exterior is really spacious, located on the 2nd floor above the Fila store!

There's an elevator inside too, so it'd be great to bring an elderly grandmother along!

Private rooms, baby chairs, and free coffee after the meal
The inside of Dongcheonhong Bongdam Branch is even more spacious and clean than the outside!

The rooms were really spacious and clean. Baby chairs are provided too!

They even have coffee ready for dessert 🥰

There are quite a lot of rooms, so it'd be perfect for gatherings or company dinners in Bongdam!! It's the perfect spot for family gatherings in Bongdam 🤍

The basic side dishes are simple — jjachai (pickled cucumber) and danmuji (pickled radish)!
What we ordered at Dongcheonhong Bongdam and what it cost
- Yurinji (small) ₩28,000
- Seafood ganjjajang ₩12,000
- Jjamppong-bap ₩10,000
- Goryeo Bangju ₩4,000
They even sell a liquor called Goryeo Bangju in a single-cup serving! My boyfriend loves alcohol so he had one, and selling it in a single-person portion like this is great for when only one person in the family wants to drink!! haha

Seafood ganjjajang, 12,000 won
Maybe because it's seafood ganjjajang, the seafood was packed in generously! I'm glad I ordered the ganjjajang (dry-style black bean noodles)! The sauce itself is already tasty, but with all that seafood piled in, it was even better!!

The seafood kept coming no matter how much we ate — it was really generous. If we go back, the seafood ganjjajang is the dish I'd order again 🤍

Jjamppong-bap, 10,000 won
Next up is the jjamppong-bap (spicy seafood soup with rice)! It had seafood in it so it was nice and spicy-hot, and besides the seafood there were tons of vegetable bits too. With squid, clams, and various other seafood, it was fun picking through it all!
Yurinji (small), 28,000 won
Last is the yurinji! Usually at a Chinese restaurant you go for sweet and sour pork, but that's a bit common and something you eat often, so since I saw on mom cafés that Dongcheonhong is known for its skilled Chinese cooking, I decided to order yurinji instead!

The yurinji was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! And the peppers scattered throughout gave it a nice kick! The sauce underneath went really well with the yurinji, and if you look closely there's lettuce laid underneath too, which was really delicious

Is Dongcheonhong Bongdam worth a family visit?
- A must-try Chinese restaurant in Bongdam that really knows Chinese cooking!!
- A great restaurant to take your parents to in Bongdam! It has rooms, and the food is amazing too!
- Spacious, convenient parking!
- Various course menus and combo sets!!
- The big plus of selling single-person alcohol servings 💕
All in all, it's a Bongdam Chinese restaurant where the food is just really delicious ♥️
