Korean BBQ restaurant in Suseong, Daegu: 1++ ribeye 300g at Jangpro
In short
Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal (장프로한우갈빗살) is a hanwoo (Korean beef) BBQ restaurant specialising in short rib meat and ribeye on Deuran-ro in Suseong-gu, Daegu. Visiting with one child, the writer charcoal-grilled 1++ ribeye 300g for 49,000 won and ordered hanwoo galbi doenjang jjigae, a soybean paste stew with a rib bone in it, in a wide dining room where the extraction kept the smoke down. Price and quality both hold up at Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal, so it works for group dinners and work outings as well.

For this post I want to introduce a solid-value hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu — a Korean BBQ spot called Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal. It's a place in Suseong-gu where you can eat hanwoo at reasonable prices, and I've been back a few times. The dining room is spacious and the meat quality is good, so my satisfaction was high. Let's get into the detailed review!
Where is Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal, and what are the hours?

Parking and reservations at Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal
You can use the public parking lot in front of the restaurant, and there's also space for about 5–6 cars behind it. Parking wasn't a hassle at all.
Reservations can be made through Naver Reservation. Booking ahead means you'll get even better service, so make sure to reserve before you visit!
Is the dining room big enough for group dinners?
Here's the interior. The restaurant is really spacious. The tables are well spaced apart, making Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal, this Korean BBQ restaurant in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu, a fine choice for group gatherings or company dinners!

The ventilation system inside is also well set up, so there was no discomfort from smoke while grilling.

They also have disposable aprons available, just so you know.
They also sell self-serve ramyeon and a mushroom platter at reasonable prices.

Menu and prices: what we ordered
Here's the menu. The signature dish is galbitsal + top-grade ribeye. At ₩79,000 for 500g, the price is pretty good, right? We ordered the 1++ ribeye at 300g for ₩49,000. And since I already know the hanwoo galbi doenjang jjigae is delicious, we ordered that too along with the meat.

The set table and side dishes
The basic table setting came out as shown below. A meat dipping sauce (yukjang) was included to help enjoy the meat even more.

The basic side dishes weren't anything special. Still, they covered the basics, so it wasn't bad.

The green onion kimchi came out spicy, and it was good!
Since we visited with a child, they also gave us gim (dried seaweed). Little touches like that were nice.

1++ ribeye 300g: the right amount for two
Here's the 300g ribeye we ordered. It's just the right amount for a child and one adult to share. In particular, the ribeye is top-grade hanwoo, so the quality is great.

Hanwoo grilled over charcoal can't help but taste good. Time to really start grilling.

The charcoal heat was so strong that the meat cooked quickly. Since beef doesn't taste good if overcooked, you have to grill it with focus.

Since the ribeye is top-grade, the quality is great. That's also why so many people visit this Korean BBQ restaurant in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu. With both price and quality solid, it's known as a great-value restaurant.

Hanwoo galbi doenjang jjigae with a rib bone in it
And here's the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) with a rib bone right in it. There's a huge amount of tofu and plenty of hanwoo in it too, so it tasted really good.

Why Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal works with a child
I cut the ribeye into bite-sized pieces and gave my child the first servings. Since we've visited Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal a few times now, my child came expecting it to be delicious.

Dipping the first bite lightly in salt was so good. It really lets you taste the meat's natural flavor, so I tend to dip the first piece in salt like this.

The portion was just right for two people, so we could eat reasonably without overordering.

Final verdict on Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal
I visited Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal, a Korean BBQ restaurant in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu, and both the price and quality were satisfying — a restaurant that's busy no matter when you go. The dining room is spacious too, so it's a fine choice for group gatherings or company dinners. I'm thinking of choosing Jangpro Hanwoo Galbitsal for my next get-together too.
