I visited Andamiro Pancake Cheonan in Sinbu-dong. It's on the 2nd floor across from Sinbu Culture Park, so it's an easy find if you're already looking for a café around Sinbu-dong.

As the name suggests, Andamiro Pancake specializes in soufflé pancakes.

They had a good range of dessert options too — soufflé pancakes made fresh to order, croffles, fruit sorbet, coffee, and various drinks.

Inside Andamiro Pancake Cheonan: atmosphere and seating

The interior has a cozy feel, with tables spaced comfortably apart and a good variety of seating. It'd be a nice spot to relax over dessert with a friend or on a date.

There are plenty of coffee-focused cafés around Sinbu-dong, but a place that really does soufflé pancakes well felt like a nice change of pace.

Ordering the freshly made soufflé pancake alongside a cool fruit sorbet meant I got to enjoy a sweet dessert and a refreshing one at the same time, which I liked.

The Andamiro soufflé pancake

The Andamiro soufflé — the one I was most looking forward to! As expected, the soufflé pancake catches your eye the moment it arrives with that fluffy, jiggly look. Since it's cooked right after ordering, it was warm and had a lovely soft texture.

It's much fluffier and lighter than a regular pancake, so it didn't feel heavy as a dessert. Paired with fruit and cream, the soft soufflé had both sweetness and freshness that went really well together.

The soufflé itself is so soft that it pairs perfectly with coffee. If you're looking for a good soufflé spot in Cheonan, this place is worth a visit.

Lemon sorbet as a palate cleanser

The lemon sorbet I ordered alongside it was also delicious. It had that distinctively tart, cool lemon flavor, so taking a bite between mouthfuls of the sweet soufflé cleaned my palate right up — swoosh! It was a great menu choice for when you're craving something cool on a hot day.

Americano and matcha latte

The americano had a nutty, full-bodied style that goes well with the soufflé and pairs nicely with sweet desserts. The coffee menu can also be switched to decaf, so it should be a fine option even for people sensitive to caffeine.

The matcha latte had that subtle bitterness and smooth flavor unique to matcha, which paired well with the sweet soufflé.

What else is on the menu besides the soufflé?

Besides the soufflé pancakes, they also have croffles made with dough using French butter, along with a variety of drinks, ades, and teas, so there's plenty to choose from depending on your taste.

If you like enjoying a sweet dessert with coffee like I do, I'd recommend the soufflé with americano combo. If you're craving something cooler and more refreshing instead, ordering a fruit sorbet alongside it is a good call too.
