Among Gwangmyeong hair salons, Maple Hair stood out the moment I walked in — the clean, emotive interior caught my eye right away. In particular, natural light poured in through the big windows, giving the whole space a warm, bright feel.

There wasn't a trace of that strong chemical smell salons usually have, and the air felt very fresh, so I never got a headache during the whole service and could just enjoy sitting there.

Full black dye on damaged hair: how much did the scalp sting?

The service I got at Maple Hair Gwangmyeong Sageori Station Branch was a full black dye for a tone-down. My hair was already weakened from repeated treatments, so scalp stinging and further damage during the dye were my biggest worries. At this Gwangmyeong hair salon, they said they carefully select only natural, low-irritation formulas.

I went with black for a clean tone-down, and while the dye was being applied I felt absolutely no itching or irritation on my scalp. The application was so neat that I was slowly turning into a little black potato haha. They were so meticulous about not letting any dye touch my ears or the back of my neck that I was genuinely impressed by Designer Song-yi's skill 😊 Even days after the service, there was almost no color runoff when shampooing, and my scalp stayed healthy with no irritation — truly satisfying.

I nibbled on coffee and snacks too~~ While I was comfortably eating and drinking (?!), they told me the dye had absorbed evenly, so I moved over to the shampoo area.

The shampoo zone was also flooded with light, which lifted my mood even more. I think people really do need sunlight and a bit of greenery to feel good, physically and mentally haha.

The dye color itself came out so luxurious and clean that I was already thrilled at first glance. When I mentioned I had plans right after, they finished with a beautiful blow-dry styling that suited my face shape and vibe perfectly.
