Songdo café for crispy salt bread and vanilla latte: Cafe Cozy Bear
In short
Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch is a salt-bread bakery café in Yeonsu, Incheon. At 1 p.m., I had plain salt bread, a handmade vanilla latte, and an Americano; even cooled, the bread was crisp underneath and moist inside. Verdict: I want to return for the fresh batches at 9 a.m. or 2 p.m.

Cafe Cozy Bear exterior

Cafe Cozy Bear is one minute from the Songdo food-supply mart and across from the public parking lot. I visited around 1 p.m., and there were guests on the terrace and inside, as well as people picking up takeaway orders. (There are two terrace seats!)

The cute bear holding salt bread made it instantly clear that this is a salt-bread specialist.

When does the fresh salt bread come out?

Freshly baked salt bread comes out at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.! You know freshly baked salt bread is the best, right?

They take coffee as seriously as salt bread, so I ordered coffee to go with it too!

Isn’t the Cafe Cozy Bear package box above so cute? 🐻 It has an adorable bear holding salt bread on it, so I thought it would be nice for gifts too.
Cafe Cozy Bear salt bread and drink menu

Since I visited around 1 p.m., I didn’t get to try the freshly baked salt bread, but I ordered the most basic plain salt bread. There were plenty of varieties to choose from, including pollock roe, potato, and garlic salt bread, which made choosing fun.

There was a wide range of drinks, from coffee and non-coffee drinks to ade and tea, so I think it would be nice for both kids and adults.

The indoor tables are set up for two or four people. (Since there were guests, I mainly photographed the unoccupied areas.)

There is an oven workspace for making salt bread beside the tables, so you can find freshly baked salt bread here.

Plain salt bread eaten at 1 p.m.

They say this salt bread is made with French fermented butter, Guérande salt, and premium flour, so it stays crisp right through the bottom even after it cools.

Even though I arrived at 1 p.m., the bottom was crisp! The inside was moist!!

The cooled salt bread was delicious enough, so I kept wondering just how good it would be fresh from the oven! Next time, I definitely need to visit when the salt bread comes out and try it freshly baked!
How the handmade vanilla latte and Americano tasted
Handmade vanilla latte

They say this is a premium vanilla latte with a rich, smooth flavor created using house-made vanilla syrup. The vanilla aroma and flavor were strong, making it nicely sweet and easy to enjoy. Not only was the salt bread delicious, but the coffee was too, making this a bakery café where it was great to enjoy bread and coffee together!
Americano

They say this is a nutty, full-bodied Americano made with beans roasted by a national-team barista and expert extraction know-how. The flavor was the nutty taste I love! Considering it’s a bakery café, the Americano price did not feel burdensome either. It was a coffee that went nicely with salt bread over a refreshing cold cup.

Next time, I’ll come back to try the salt bread fresh from the oven!
