Bucheon Korean restaurant for doganitang with mustard sauce: Hanchon
In short
Hanchon Seolleongtang Bucheon Kkachiul Station Branch is a seolleongtang (ox bone soup) restaurant that occupies an entire building near Kkachiul Station in Jakdong, Ojeong-gu, Bucheon. The writer ordered doganitang (ox knee cartilage soup, ₩21,000) dipped in mustard sauce and seolleongtang with rice on the side (₩11,000), added scallions and noodles to the milky bone broth, and refilled rice at the self-serve bar. Rice actually comes already added to the soup by default here, so ordering it separately turned out unnecessary.

First impressions of a seolleongtang restaurant near Kkachiul Station in Jakdong, Bucheon
After the rain, the temperature swing between morning and evening has gotten pretty intense, so I found myself craving a hot, steaming bowl of soup. I heard there was a great seolleongtang spot near Kkachiul Station in Jakdong, Bucheon, so I rushed straight over — "Hanchon Seolleongtang Bucheon Kkachiul Station Branch"! It felt like being out in the suburbs, and since they use an entire building, the exterior already looked spacious and comfortable.

Just how big is the parking lot?
The parking lot is huge — you can park comfortably anywhere, from beside the building to the first floor of the building itself.

I spotted what looked like an animal enclosure off to one side of the parking lot, so I went to take a closer look...

...and found two adorable rabbits! Kids would definitely love this.

Inside the restaurant and the seating
Heading up to the entrance. This brand has a long history, starting out as Gammiok back in 1982.
Once I opened the door and stepped inside, the interior was incredibly spacious and clean. No worries here whether you're dining solo or with a big group.
The green scenery outside the window really gets your appetite going.

There are also tons of baby chairs. With a kids' seolleongtang on the menu too, bringing children along should be no problem.

I ordered doganitang (₩21,000) and seolleongtang with rice on the side (₩11,000). After ordering, I realized... at Hanchon Seolleongtang, the rice comes already mixed into the soup by default. If you're heading there after reading this post, just order the regular seolleongtang, haha, sorry!

Table setting and side dishes
The table comes set with paper cups and pepper.

There was even a portable fan at the table, haha. You could really feel the owner's thoughtfulness toward guests.
First, they bring out kimchi and seokbakji (diced radish kimchi).

You can cut it to whatever size you like.

The seokbakji is sweet and tangy, and delicious,

and the kimchi has that well-aged flavor, but without sourness — it tastes like proper steamed country-style kimchi.

Instead of plain water, they serve dungulle tea (roasted Solomon's seal tea).
What's at the self-serve bar?
If you want more kimchi or seokbakji, just ask the staff. The self-serve bar has rice, salt, wet wipes, and aprons. Extra rice is free, so don't order more rice — just help yourself at the bar.

Oh! There's also scallions, so make sure to stop by the self-serve bar before your meal!!

As a certified scallion lover, I grabbed as much scallion as I could handle.

Doganitang ₩21,000, dipped in mustard sauce
With the scallions in hand, the food arrived. First up, the doganitang. It comes with rice served separately by default.

Somyeon noodles come on the side,
and a mustard sauce comes out for dipping the doganji (ox knee cartilage).
The doganji pieces are really big and hearty.
There's also a generous amount of it.
Dipping it deep into the sweet-and-tangy mustard sauce, the tender, chewy texture felt automatically restorative.

If you're a doganitang fan, you absolutely have to try this.
Seolleongtang with rice on the side ₩11,000: the broth and the meat
Next let's check out the seolleongtang. It comes with somyeon noodles already in it.
The broth is milky and rich — tastes like the kind of bone broth you'd slow-simmer at home.

The meat pieces are big too, and incredibly tender and delicious.

It's only lightly seasoned, giving it a clean, mild flavor. If you need more seasoning, you can grab salt from the self-serve bar. It was seasoned just right for my taste, so I just added pepper and got ready to properly dig in.

True to my scallion-loving self, I piled in plenty of scallions.
Seolleongtang with somyeon noodles... does that even need explaining? Haha.
The meat just kept coming no matter how much I ate, haha.
After finishing the noodles and meat, I mixed rice into the broth.
Milky rice mixed into seolleongtang, topped with kimchi? I don't need to say anything more...

The broth was so generous and delicious that I decided to eat more rice, so I grabbed some extra from the self-serve bar.

I ended up eating this much more, haha.
