Korean head spa, Makisaki clinic & tassel cut at Heiro, Jamsil

I think it's because I got so much sun this summer, but my hair felt dry and lifeless, and I wanted to change up my hairstyle.

I've also been stressed from studying for exams lately, and I could feel my scalp getting worse too — so I went looking for a clinic-famous hair salon in Jamsil! That's how I found Heiro Jamsil Lotte World.

Today I'll share my very satisfied review of getting the full course at Heiro Jamsil Lotte World — a head spa, Makisaki hair clinic, and a clean, charming tassel cut, all in one visit.

Location and hours of Heiro Jamsil Lotte World

Heiro is on the basement 3rd floor of Lotte World's Jamsil location, connected directly to Jamsil Station subway, so it was really easy to access.

It's near the Lotte World ice rink so it was easy to find haha. As soon as I took the escalator down to B3, it was right there.

What was the salon atmosphere like

As soon as I stepped inside, the clean, modern interior caught my eye. The waiting area was spacious and spotless, so I could sit comfortably while I waited.

While waiting, I looked around the space. Instead of that usual unpleasant perm-solution smell you get at hair salons, there was a subtle scent that felt more like being at a spa — that impressed me.

Scalp camera consultation and the before state

Once I sat down, I had a 1:1 detailed consultation with Designer Koi. She carefully checked my scalp condition and hair damage level, then recommended a combination — a gentle, non-irritating head spa, the Makisaki clinic to load my hair with nutrients, and a tassel cut that would suit my face shape perfectly!

Even at a glance, my hair looked dry and messy. She also took photos with a special scalp camera, and you could clearly see a lot of buildup had accumulated — care was urgently needed, T_T.

Head spa: how does the scalp cooling feel

So the first thing we did was the head spa! I'd been struggling with scalp heat and stubborn dead skin cells, and she applied the head spa solution thoroughly all over. Even at this early stage, I felt a refreshing, cooling sensation like my clogged-up scalp was finally opening up.

While I waited for the solution to sit, they gave me a cold drink. I think I waited about 10 minutes. The cooling sensation was so nice and refreshing.

Makisaki hair clinic and spa bed massage

After rinsing off the solution, I lay down on the spa bed for the rest of the head spa and the hair clinic. They used a shampoo packed with ingredients that are good for the scalp.

The rich, dense lather washed away the old dead skin cells on my scalp. And while shampooing, they also did a scalp acupressure massage, which felt amazing.

To help the clinic solution absorb well, they did a steam treatment, which left me feeling drowsy and truly relaxed. Finally, once the essence was fully absorbed, the clinic was complete!

Tassel cut after: trimmed into a sharp bob

After finishing the head spa and clinic, she got into the actual cutting. My hair was originally bob-length, but it had grown out a bit, so it didn't quite have that crisp, blunt look anymore, which was frustrating. I asked for a cleaner tassel cut, and she cut it perfectly to suit my hair. Totally satisfied!!

It's a bob that falls right above the jawline, so it's easy to manage even if I just wash and rough-dry it. I love the after photos too.
