Where is The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch?
The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch is a jokbal and bossam restaurant on the first floor of the Sindorim 3-cha Prugio commercial building. I was hunting for a Guro Station restaurant and jokbal sounded good, and the big sign made it easy to spot haha. It felt like a solid place to dig into jokbal and bossam properly~~!

At the entrance there was signage for the lunch specials, the gukbap (soup with rice), and the combo menus! There was also a bit about the collagen in jokbal, which caught my eye ㅎ. Nice to scan the menu before even walking in~~

Jokbal boil times at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm
The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch also posts the exact times the jokbal comes out, which caught my attention~! Apparently they've run the 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm timing for a while now haha. Letting you know when the freshly boiled jokbal is ready felt like a nice touch~~!
The address is 1st floor, Sindorim 3-cha Prugio commercial building, 619-3 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul! Among Guro Station restaurants, it sits between Sindorim Station and Guro Station, so it's easy to reach from either side ㅎ. There's also basement parking in the building~!

Seating and atmosphere at The Jokbal Sindorim
The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch had tables running all the way to the back, so there was more seating than I expected~~ I saw seats good for larger groups too, so it looked fine for gatherings hahaha. Everything was wood-toned, giving it a comfortable overall feel!

On the wall were tips for enjoying jokbal even more, along with The Jokbal's own principles~! Instead of just eating the jokbal plain, they suggest pairing it with salted shrimp or chive salad haha. There were also principles about how they prepare the jokbal, good reading while waiting~~!
Lunch sets and the jokbal menu lineup
At lunch there's a separate bossam set and a fire-grilled spicy jokbal set~! There's also a soft tofu bossam set and a spicy beef gukbap, so the lunch options were pretty varied ㅎ. Looked like an easy choice for a single lunch meal too~~

The menu ranged from front leg and hind leg to half-and-half jokbal and bossam! There were also distinctive options like fire-grilled spicy jokbal and naengchae jokbal hahaha. The set combos good for groups also caught my eye~!

Tablet ordering and current events
Ordering was easy through the tablet at the table~~! The receipt review event gets you jangban makguksu and a taste of naengchae jokbal hahaha. There was also a KakaoTalk channel event running, giving one bottle of alcohol when you add them as a friend~!

What comes with the basic jokbal set?
Once the jokbal came out with all the side dishes, it was a properly generous spread! With chives, radish strips, wrap greens and naengchae jokbal, the accompaniments were varied haha. Seeing this much laid out at a Guro Station restaurant was reassuring just to look at~~!

The glossy, shiny jokbal caught my eye first~! The skin looked bouncy and the meat looked moist, so it looked great from the start hahaha. Sliced thick, even one piece felt substantial~~

The layers of skin and meat were clearly visible, making it look even more appetizing! The chewy skin and soft meat together made for great texture ㅎ. No gamey smell, just clean flavor — even the plain jokbal was delicious on its own~!

When I visited, a warm doenjang soup (soybean paste soup) also came out~~ Taking a sip of soup between bites of jokbal turned out to be a nice combo haha. Having warm soup made the whole spread feel even heartier~!
I was glad the naengchae jokbal also came out as a taster! Cucumber and jellyfish mixed with a tangy, sharp sauce felt refreshing hahaha. Alternating with the plain jokbal at this Guro Station restaurant made it even better~~

Chive salad, Jeju radish strips and wrap greens
Chive salad and radish strips came out generously along with the wrap greens~! It got interesting each time I added one to the plain jokbal — the taste changed each time ㅎ. There were plenty of wrap greens too, so I wrapped everything up properly~~

The chive salad had a slightly spicy, crunchy texture that I liked! Putting a bit on the jokbal meat made a great pairing haha. It didn't overpower the meat's flavor, which I liked even more~!

The radish strips had that proper chewy, springy texture~~! They're made in-house with Jeju winter radish and low-temperature aged, apparently ㅎ. Eating them between bites of soft jokbal really brings the texture to life!
Ssamjang (dipping sauce) and salted shrimp were also set out~! Dipping the jokbal lightly in the salted shrimp gave it just the right salty kick hahaha. I added a bit of ssamjang to the wraps too~~

Picking up a piece of meat, it was quite thick! It wasn't dry — it chewed moist, so the meat itself was tasty ㅎ. True to a Guro Station jokbal restaurant, I liked how soft and tender the meat's texture was~!

Perilla leaf and cabbage wrap combinations
I tried wrapping it in perilla leaves and cabbage alternately! Cabbage was sweet and perilla was fragrant, so the same jokbal felt different each time hahaha. Adding radish strips on top brings in that extra chewy texture, even better~~ The chewy meat and crunchy vegetables chewing together really worked well hahaha. A little ssamjang on top even boosted the savory depth~!

With the naengchae jokbal, the tangy, sharp sauce hit first~! Chewing through the cucumber and jellyfish added crunch and chewiness, making it feel much more refreshing haha. Alternating with the plain jokbal cut the richness and made it easy to enjoy all the way through~~!
Is The Jokbal Sindorim worth a visit near Guro Station?
The jokbal at The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch had soft meat and chewy skin, so the basics alone were satisfying~! The naengchae jokbal, chive salad, and radish strips were all generous too, making it fun to mix and match haha. From the lunch menu to combos good for groups, there were plenty of options to choose from~~! If you want a hearty jokbal spread near Guro Station, The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch was a good choice~!
