Everyone's had one of those days when you need a gorgeous hideout to sip drinks quietly with someone special or just talk without distraction, right?
I wanted to fully soak in that quiet, upscale alley vibe unique to Hannam-dong, so I walked around a lot scouting spots. From the exotic terrace exterior to the gallery-like sensory rooms and the high-level seasonal dishes, I got completely won over — let me introduce this Hannam-dong izakaya!

The OSA Hannam terrace: white-toned outdoor seats in a Hannam-dong hillside alley
OSA Hannam is a robata dining spot on the hillside alley of Hannamdaero 20-gil, and the first thing that catches your eye is the white-toned terrace. Walking along the alley, this cozy terrace suddenly appears like something out of a European resort town.
Just watching guests enjoying a relaxed meal outdoors in the cool evening air felt healing in itself.

Under a warm beige awning, the open terrace seats are arranged with real style. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of the city — the calm, romantic mood makes it an instant pass for a date spot.

The sensory triangle-patterned white brick wall and the softly glowing 'OSA Hannam' sign push the upscale mood even further.

Passing the tidy entrance nameplate that shows off OSA Hannam's identity, I stepped inside with a bit of a flutter in my chest.

What does the inside of OSA Hannam feel like?
The interior of OSA Hannam is dimly lit, and the corridor sloping down from the entrance is styled like a cave gallery. The moment I stepped further in, I couldn't help but gasp — natural stone, green moss, and plants blend together under low lighting to create the mysterious feel of descending into a secret cave gallery.

At the end of the clean, minimal corridor sits a stylish vase object that gives the space a dignified feel, like stepping into a luxury hotel lounge.

A wall art display of bright yellow flower buds fills the space! You could feel just how much care went into every single light fixture and small prop.

Private rooms and group seating at OSA Hannam
OSA Hannam has both small private rooms and a large private room for groups. The private room space, with its yellow lantern pendant lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows, showed the peak of coziness. Completely undisturbed by outside noise, it's a perfect Hannam-dong bar for a blind date or a small gathering.

Further inside, there's also a large private room ready for group meetups, business meetings, or company dinners. Thanks to the stylish marble art frames and lighting, any occasion held here would satisfy everyone.
OSA Hannam menu: what to order

We ordered the visually stunning seasonal sashimi platter along with a refreshing Suntory highball!

How did the seasonal sashimi platter and Suntory highball taste?
OSA Hannam's seasonal sashimi platter arrives on a round white porcelain plate with tuna belly, uni, sea bream, mackerel, squid, and horse mackerel. Paired with the Suntory whisky highball, one bite of sashimi followed by a sip of highball was truly a perfect pairing.
The table was set with elegant ceramic small plates, neat chopsticks, and dedicated wet wipes. Even the basic sweet potato chips were crispy and sweet — I kept reaching for more.

A cold Suntory whisky highball in a glass topped with crushed ice and a refreshing lemon slice! It felt like the fatigue of the day was washing right down my throat.

Once the pickled shallots, pickled ginger, and their savory special soy sauce were neatly set on the table for the sashimi, the true star of the show finally made its entrance.

The moment it landed on the table, everyone in our group gasped at the sheer visual impact of the seasonal sashimi platter! On a large round white porcelain plate, fresh flavors of the sea were arranged as neatly as a painting.

From the glossy, deep red tuna belly to the ultimate richness of yellow uni, the chewy sea bream, lightly seared mackerel, and the springy squid and horse mackerel — I picked up a piece, dabbed on a bit of wasabi, and tasted zero fishiness, just smooth melt-in-the-mouth texture. This is clearly why it's a well-known Hannam-dong spot. A piece of fresh sashimi followed by a sip of cold highball — truly the perfect pairing!
