Pull into the underground lot and you get 2 hours free. It's usually open 24 hours, but on Tuesdays it only runs until 9am the next day, and on Wednesdays it opens at 10am.

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk started as a local favorite in Cheonan, so I was curious how the Suwon Ingye branch would taste. There's a pork bone hot pot to share, and also stone-pot bowls for eating on your own!

Since I love dishes with udon noodles, I ordered the mild pork bone udon soup, and my partner ordered the spicy pork bone soup.

What we ordered and the side dishes that came with it

These are the default side dishes. There's a dipping sauce for the meat, and of course haejangguk (hangover soup) can't go without kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi). A solid basic spread to pile on top of your rice.

Noodle lovers who don't just want plain broth should go for the pork bone udon soup. If you'd rather drink the broth and dig into rice with the meat, order the regular pork bone soup. Doesn't the broth color already look different between the mild and spicy versions? I can only imagine how spicy the super-hot version would be... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I wanted to work up a sweat with a spicy rice bowl, so I ordered one spicy and one mild! Just in case the spicy one turned out to be too much, I also got the mild one as backup ~ :)

Even the mild version had plenty of kick, so even people who are sensitive to spice could still enjoy a decently spicy-savory haejangguk. Honestly, one bowl of this pork bone soup and a bottle of soju disappears in no time.

The reason I'd recommend this as an Ingye-dong dinner spot is these big chunks of meat! Great for solo dining, great for a group dinner, and an easy pick for a late meal in Ingye-dong!!!!

How spicy is the mild pork bone udon soup?

I can generally handle anything from Shin Ramyun up to Buldak, and the mild option was exactly right for me. I love Buldak Bokkeummyeon, but on an off day the spice can mess with my stomach the next day, so I don't usually go for that level of heat in other dishes — plus 'Buldak-level' spice in other foods has sometimes turned out to be way spicier than expected, so I went with mild. For someone who sticks to the mild version of yeoptteok, this was exactly the right level of spice. You still get plenty of savory heat and kick!

This is the spicy pork bone soup! A lot of people come here alone for lunch in Ingye-dong. If you're looking for an Ingye-dong dinner spot with good prices, this place is a solid choice!

The meat chunks are so big they're hard to lift with just a spoon, so there's fun in picking the meat off the bone piece by piece~

Especially when you mix rice into that spicy broth — you just let out an involuntary sigh of satisfaction haha... Pick off the meat, pile on some kkakdugi, and it's seriously impossible to stop eating!
