Ingye-dong pork bone soup with 4 spice levels: Eolkeunhan Ppyeo
In short
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a pork bone soup and bone hot pot restaurant in the Drama City building in Ingye-dong, Suwon. On a weekend lunch date, the writer and her boyfriend used the table tablet to order the original pork bone soup and the ugeoji (dried cabbage greens) pork bone soup at the spicy level, picking from 4 spice levels, and filled up fast on 3 to 4 bones loaded with meat. A free ice cream comes with every soup or hot pot order, cooling the spicy finish and making Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk a solid value lunch.

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch

On the weekend, my boyfriend and I had a real spicy pork bone soup lunch in Ingye-dong!
Parking and hours at Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk in Ingye-dong, Suwon
The Ingye branch is in the Drama City building in Ingye-dong, and there was parking for about two cars right in front of the store.

There's also free 2-hour parking in the underground lot behind the building. We parked underground, and maybe because it was the weekend, the gate barrier was just switched off!

The seating inside is pretty spacious! And since they're open late every day, it works whether you're here for a hangover cure, a drinking snack, or a full meal.

Menu and how tablet ordering with 4 spice levels works
The menu! They serve pork bone hot pot (ppyeo jeongol), which is great for drinking with friends, plus pork bone soup for solo dining, seonji haejangguk (ox blood soup), steamed dumplings, boiled sliced meat, and more.

You pick your menu on a tablet. You can also adjust the spice to your taste across 4 levels: mild / medium / spicy / extra spicy! 🌶️

Diced radish kimchi and pickled onions come as default side dishes, and you can grab more from the self-service bar.

Original pork bone soup vs spicy ugeoji pork bone soup
After waiting a bit, the stone pots came out bubbling hot!

My boyfriend ordered the original flavor pork bone soup haha

I ordered the spicy ugeoji (dried radish greens) pork bone soup. It doesn't look it in the photo, but the color is actually much redder in real life!!

There were 3-4 big bones inside, and so much meat on them that every spoonful was packed with meat once I picked it all off 😋 No gamey smell at all, and the portion was huge, so I got full fast. It wasn't just spicy for the sake of it — it was deliciously spicy, the kind that really cures a hangover. The name isn't wrong to emphasize how eolkeunhan (rich and spicy) it is!

I was already full but still finished all the toppings, just left a bit of rice, lol. My boyfriend inhaled his too 😂

Free ice cream after the meal at Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk
And here's the great part — after finishing your meal, you get one free ice cream! This applies to both the hot pot and the soup.

Being me (?), I picked a Dwaeji-bar ice cream 🙃 My mouth was still a little tingly from the spice, and it was the perfect way to cool down! A place in Ingye-dong where you can get both great value and a really filling meal haha.
