Euljiro 3-ga restaurant lunch with reserved name tags: Pyu Euljiro

In short

Pyu Euljiro is a dining restaurant on the ground floor of an office building, a 3-minute walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Visiting on a weekday lunch with a half-freelancer friend, the writer ordered mackerel pasta, yuzu-grilled chicken thigh and Cheotsarangui Hyanggi (Scent of First Love), a Belgian-style wheat beer, and found a name tag already set on the reserved table. With high ceilings and wide gaps between tables, Pyu Euljiro is an easy place to unwind over a daytime glass.

Hi everyone~ this is Hyun.

Lately I've been telling myself, once a week, let's treat ourselves to a proper meal at a good dining restaurant! I've been so busy working that I realized I hadn't done much for myself. So to make the rest of 2026 meaningful, I made a new plan starting in September to eat well and often haha.

This week I went to Pyu Euljiro, near Euljiro 3-ga Station. My friend works nearby, so we go to Cracking Coffee around there pretty often, and I'd noticed this really nice-looking dining restaurant on the first floor of that building and kept it saved. Finally got to have a nice lunch there with my friend after a while haha.

Where is Pyu Euljiro, and how do you reserve a table?

Pyu Euljiro is tucked inside the ground floor of a building at 27 Mareunnae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, just a 3-minute walk from Euljiro 3-ga subway station — so it's close to the station too!

It's set back inside the first floor of the building, but still easy to find.

Since I'd made a reservation ahead of time, our table was already set with a little name tag with my name on it haha. Small touches like that really make me happy.

Pyu Euljiro's menu: what we ordered for lunch

At Pyu Euljiro we ordered mackerel pasta, yuzu-grilled chicken thigh, and a beer called Cheotsarangui Hyang (첫사랑의향기, "scent of first love"). If choosing is hard, there's also a 2-person share set.

I'd heard this place is popular for office lunch gatherings too, so I studied the menu a bit before going! One of the dishes that stood out most was the mackerel pasta.

A huge, thick chunk of mackerel practically covering the pasta noodles — so I ordered that first. Then I quietly watched what other people were eating, noticed a lot of people getting the yuzu-grilled chicken thigh, and ordered that too. Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, garden tomato risotto, and bisque pasta were also on my shortlist — since I'm planning to come back, I'll try one of those next time haha.

And there was a beer with the beautiful name Cheotsarangui Hyang, so I ordered that too! The reason we could casually drink from early in the day is that we're both half-freelancers, so neither of us had work until late afternoon ^^ haha.

If choosing is hard for you, or you want to try a bit of everything, there's a 2-person share set menu too — worth keeping in mind.

Inside Pyu Euljiro: interior and seating

For a restaurant on the first floor of an office building, Pyu Euljiro's interior has surprisingly high ceilings and lots of space. With a large central table, sofa seating, and seats behind the counter, it works both for group dinners and meals for two.

High-ceilinged interior of Pyu Euljiro

What personally surprised me most was the interior of Pyu Euljiro — for a restaurant inside an office building, the ceilings are really high and the interior design left a strong impression. The counter, accented with marble, stood out to me, and the under-lighting beneath the marble was especially pretty.

There's one large table in the middle that works well for groups, and is also a nice spot for two people.

The sofa side normally has three 4-person tables, but since office workers often come in groups, they'd been pushed together! Even aside from that, the spacing between tables overall was generous, so we could talk privately. It wasn't loud at all, which I liked.

There are also seats behind the counter — someone was having a group meal there too, so I didn't take photos of that area, but the place is very spacious and the ceilings so high that it never felt cramped.

Cheotsarangui Hyanggi, the Belgian-style wheat beer

The Cheotsarangui Hyang beer we ordered came out first — a Belgian-style wheat beer from Art Monster Brewery. Made with orange peel and mandarin, it's a refreshing yet smooth wheat beer that's apparently won 28 awards at international beer competitions, a premium craft beer!

Really clean, with a subtle orange aroma — exactly my style.

What does Pyu Euljiro's mackerel pasta taste like?

Pyu Euljiro's mackerel pasta came out about 10 minutes after ordering. It's marinated mackerel with slightly spicy oil pasta, piled generously with arugula.

The mackerel is marinated, and the noodles are an oil pasta with a slightly spicy kick. Around the mackerel, they'd piled on a really generous amount of arugula.

Mackerel is a blue-backed fish that's much bigger than the more common Korean mackerel (godeungeo), with really soft flesh and few small bones, so it's easy to eat — one of my favorite kinds of fish!

Even just cutting it roughly with chopsticks, it fell apart this softly...

The oil pasta noodles were chewy, and there was a subtle spiciness that kept it from feeling greasy.

With all that arugula, the spicy flavor lingers in your mouth — it genuinely felt like eating something healthy. Overall, the seasoning was well balanced and delicious. And above all, the mackerel was about the size of my hand, so the portion was substantial.

Yuzu-grilled chicken thigh at Pyu Euljiro

Pyu Euljiro's yuzu-grilled chicken thigh is charcoal-grilled chicken thigh served over a yuzu ponzu sauce, with vegetables on the side.

While we were slowly working through the mackerel pasta, the yuzu chicken thigh arrived — I love chicken, so as soon as it came out and that tangy yuzu aroma rose up, I got excited.

The chicken thigh is charcoal-grilled, so it's full of smoky flavor, with yuzu ponzu sauce poured underneath. You pick up the chicken, scoop up plenty of the yuzu sauce with a spoon, and coat the chicken generously. It's not too salty, so even the sauce alone tastes great haha.

There were plenty of vegetables to eat alongside it too!

The skin outside was pleasantly chewy without being tough. The meat itself was really tender too ㅠㅠ The yuzu sauce's mild tanginess whetted my appetite even more, and it paired really well with the mackerel pasta!

Above all, the atmosphere was so nice that it felt genuinely relaxing.. I think that's the best-looking restaurant I've been to in Euljiro 3-ga so far~!
