Seongsu restaurant for butter sizzling steak: Billadeubeulleu
In short
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is a Western restaurant near Seoul Forest in Seongdong, Seoul. We shared the aligot cheese lasagna, Polpo Mambo, and butter sizzling steak, with the rich lasagna and tender steak standing out. Verdict: a lovely choice for a filling meal before or after a Seoul Forest walk.

A blue-and-white Western dining space by Seoul Forest
I went to Billadeubeulleu Seongsu because I wanted something delicious in a place with a great atmosphere 💙 The blue and white at the entrance immediately caught my eye—it felt like I’d arrived at a European resort. Inside, the blue tones, tiles, and wood all work so well together; it’s pretty for photos, and the atmosphere is seriously lovely too ✨

🧡You absolutely have to get the signature cheese-pull lasagna at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu🧡
How were the aligot cheese lasagna and Polpo Mambo?
The aligot cheese lasagna I was especially excited for was overwhelming from the visuals alone…! It was piled high with cheese, so it was properly nutty and rich. The tomato sauce and cheese went so well together that I just kept reaching for it 🤍

And Polpo Mambo was the unexpectedly memorable one! The tender octopus, potatoes, and sauce came together so nicely, making it a great pairing with the lasagna. The sauce is subtly addictive—I kept dipping everything in it! Octopus can be quite tough in some places, but this one wasn’t at all, and it was so good!
More than anything, the space itself was beautiful, so I felt happy throughout the meal. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a nice restaurant after a Seoul Forest walk or for a date spot 💙

The texture of the butter sizzling steak
🥩 Steak was another must at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu. It was the one menu item I couldn’t leave out on this visit!! When you look around for good places in Seongsu, you see lots of pasta and lasagna, but I wanted a more filling meal that day, so I ordered steak too! As soon as it came out, the appetizing presentation really caught my eye.
It came in easy-to-eat pieces, so it was great for sharing alongside the other dishes. As the table filled up with food one by one, it really felt like we were having a proper fancy meal 👍 Most important, of course, was the meat’s texture! The outside was nicely seared with a savory flavor, while the inside was moist and tender, making it easy to eat. The fries on the plate were insanely good too. I think the sprinkling was cheese powder? It added even more umami, seriously… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As someone who loves Western food, I always order steak when I go to a Western restaurant. Some steaks are tough, but not this one! Steak can easily turn chewy or dry, but this one still had some of its juices, so I was satisfied!
After one bite, I tried it with the sauce (the sauce was really unusual—a flavor I’d never had before), and the meat’s flavor mingled with it for a totally different feel. The steak was tender and the doneness was just right. The steak was delicious too..! Officially a good restaurant, bang bang!!

A meal made for sharing several dishes
🍽️ I was happy with the menu combination too. What I realized during this visit was that, rather than focusing on just one dish, ordering a few things and sharing them makes the meal more fun. Eating the nutty, rich lasagna with Polpo Mambo, whose octopus has a lovely springy bite, meant I got to enjoy two totally different charms. If two people visit, these are great dishes to share; if there are more of you, it would be nice to add pasta or other dishes and try a wider variety too 💛🫢💛
The food arrived beautifully plated, so taking photos was extra fun too 💙 These days, taste matters, but you can’t leave out capturing pretty food and a pretty space either, right? An absolute must for a girly girl like me 💙 That side of things got an A+ too.
You have to get this ice cream!!!! After writing a review, I had this luxurious ice cream that felt like something you’d eat at a hotel.
A date meal before or after a Seoul Forest walk
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu was a place where I could enjoy not only the food but also the atmosphere of the space. The stylish blue-and-white interior put me in a good mood from the moment I walked in, and tasting each dish was fun too. Personally, the rich, nutty aligot cheese lasagna stayed with me most, and I was also happy with the Polpo Mambo because the octopus had great texture and flavor 🩵🐱🩵
If you’re looking for an atmospheric restaurant in Seongsu or a date spot near Seoul Forest, I think it’s worth visiting 🩵 You can eat delicious food in a pretty space and take a walk through Seoul Forest afterward, so I’d recommend it as a date course too! Next time, I want to order and try the other dishes I didn’t get to have this time. 😊
I recommend it to anyone looking for a Seoul Forest Western restaurant with a really nice vibe 🥰💟🍾
