Sky-blue one-color gel nails before travel: Naeil Didi, Apgujeong

I don't usually get my nails done, but with an overseas trip coming up I wanted that travel feeling, so I went looking and found Naeil Didi in Apgujeong Rodeo.

It's close to my office and the reviews looked good, so I booked right away for the weekend. From the consultation to the actual nail work everything felt so thorough that I'm satisfied — let me lay out the review haha.

How far is it from Apgujeong Rodeo Station?

Naeil Didi is less than 5 minutes on foot from Apgujeong Rodeo Station, which was super convenient!

The building has an elevator up to the 6th floor, and then you walk up about half a flight more to reach Naeil Didi.

Deposit and same-day guidance

Booking is through Naver Reservation, and if you're not a member you can reserve right away by putting down a ₩30,000 deposit.

On the day of the visit they sent me a text with guidance so there was nothing to forget, and they said parking is available too, so people driving over don't need to worry much.

Salon atmosphere and color consultation

I visited on a weekend morning and the inside of the salon was really clean, with sunlight pouring in warmly through the windows — just being in that space put me in a good mood.

Maybe because it was the morning slot, the natural light made just sitting there feel so much more pleasant.

I'd brought a screenshot of the color I wanted, and they recommended a shade to match that feeling as closely as possible, which I really appreciated.

A consultation that shows the color right on your nails

On top of that, they actually painted a few candidate shades onto my nails to show me how the color really turned out!!

It's definitely different from just looking at a screen or a color chip — I could see right away which shade matched my skin tone, which made choosing so much easier.

Since I don't get my nails done often, I had no sense of what color suits me, but being able to try it on directly like this made me feel like the chance of a bad pick dropped way down.

And since I'm a bit slow to decide... haha, while I was still mulling it over, they asked if nothing appealed to me and brought out even more options — I was so grateful, ㅠ.

One-color nail service took 50 minutes

I didn't have any existing nail work to remove, so maybe that's why it went faster than I expected, finishing in about 50 minutes.

There was nothing uncomfortable during the process, and I noticed they even adjusted the direction of the fan for my comfort — it really felt like they paid attention to every detail.

Two gel lamps, one for each hand

They also had two gel lamps set up separately, one for the left hand and one for the right, which was so much more convenient haha.

Usually when I get my nails done I have to alternate one hand at a time in a single lamp, which is a bit awkward on the arms, but here each lamp was placed right where both arms could sit comfortably at once! It felt like they'd thought about even the small details.

Planning wedding studio nails two months from now

I heard Naeil Didi is also known for wedding nails, so I'm thinking of coming back for my wedding studio shoot in two months.

This time I just got a one-color, but with how carefully they handled every detail, I'm already looking forward to what they'd do for wedding photo nails!!

Final thoughts

Ta-da, the clear sky-blue nails I wanted are done haha. Naeil Didi's careful consultation and the technician's skill were both really satisfying.

They're open late enough that you could even go after work on a weekday — open daily until 9pm!

Especially if you bring a reference image of the color you want, they'll show you the actual color test on your nails and match it for you, which should really help anyone who's indecisive about color.
