Chili cheese nachos for three at a Seocho burger restaurant: Daily Fix

I finally went to Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch! Jjeuyang and Kang Min-kyung raved about this handmade burger spot and I'd wanted to visit for ages — and I finally made it happen!! Here's exactly what the interior looks like and which menu items I'd recommend most.

Where is Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch near Gyodae Station?

Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch is a burger restaurant at 15 Seochodae-ro 48-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It's close whether you're coming from Seocho Station or Gyodae Station.

It definitely gives off bar vibes... but minors can actually come in and eat here too! I walked over after service at nearby Seocho Sarang Church, and it's totally walkable.

Apparently this isn't even a beer hall, yet it sells more Stella draft beer than most places that are. It's a burger restaurant, but in the evening you can also enjoy whiskey, highballs, cocktails and more!

Here's the atmosphere inside Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch. There were quite a few customers when we arrived, so I took these photos once things had thinned out a bit.

You can even eat your burger looking fancy (?) at the bar seats! I bet it feels even more atmospheric and a bit different at night, so I'd love to come back after dark sometime.

The three of us threw a full-on feast!

The food came out fast. I was craving classic fries so I ordered the regular fries, and they were exactly that — true original-style fries! Not too salty, which I liked.

How does the Korean beef patty bacon cheeseburger taste?

This is the bacon cheeseburger Kang Min-kyung apparently raved about. All three of us ordered the exact same thing. It's a combo of house-smoked bacon and a 100% Korean beef (hanwoo) patty!

I loved that they use a thick domestic hanwoo patty. Honestly, if you skip the soda and fried stuff, isn't a burger basically a complete meal? And when even the meat is hanwoo, what more is there to say... Of course, the soda refills were free so I gulped those down anyway and said goodbye to my diet.

Each of us got a big plate to ourselves, which made it easy to eat neatly! Also handy for cutting the burger up.

We ate really well. The bun in particular was soft and delicious — can you tell from the photo how glossy it looks? Burgers can all sort of blend together, but this handmade one definitely felt different. Turns out the chef here worked at a Michelin-starred spot in New York!! No wonder the whole atmosphere and menu felt distinct — American style, I'd say (?).

Chili cheese nachos, eggplant fries and coleslaw at Daily Fix

These are the nachos served with Daily Fix's signature chili cheese sauce. I'm not usually a nacho person, but I really enjoyed these.

They pour on a generous amount of chili cheese topping sauce, so consider this a calorie bomb warning... It would also make a great drinking snack. We just ate it as a meal in itself, and dug in enthusiastically.

And then there was the eggplant fries we ordered as a side! Thick-cut eggplant comes with a celery-based green mayo sauce. Honestly, it was quite different from what I pictured, but that's really down to personal taste — I like things crispy, and this eggplant fries is more on the soft side! Still, it paired really well with the sauce, and it was a fresh experience getting to try an eggplant dish at a burger restaurant, which isn't common.

You can also order coleslaw separately and get a generous portion. No matter how much handmade burger you're eating, you kind of need something like this to help it all go down, right (?)
