I had some business near Seoripul and was looking for somewhere simple to eat with my kid and husband when we ended up at Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch, a burger restaurant near Gyodae Station. I went in expecting a light bite, but between the cheeseburger, the thick fries, and the patty melt, we came out having eaten pretty seriously. The 18mm-thick fries and the patty melt especially stuck with me, and my kid ate well too. 🍔🍟

What does Daily Fix look like inside?
Daily Fix Seocho Gyodae Branch caught my eye from the entrance. Out front there's a colorful sign spelling out the days of the week, and inside, a stylish space unfolds with yellow as the main accent color.

Even the tables and props were color-matched, giving it a casual yet playful feel. The yellow accent grabs your attention even more in person than in photos. 💛

It struck me that this isn't just a grab-a-burger-and-go spot but a place to enjoy handmade burgers with beer. There's a separate beer menu, so it seems like a good spot for burgers and a cold beer in the evening. 🍺

Bar seats for solo diners at Daily Fix
On one side there's bar-style seating that's great for eating alone. It seems handy if you're looking for a quick lunch or solo meal near Gyodae Station.

Inside the store, whiskey bottles were displayed alongside goods like tumblers. It was fun to browse — I didn't expect a handmade burger restaurant to sell its own merch too.

What we ordered at Daily Fix with our child
To eat with my child, we ordered a cheeseburger, patty melt, 18 Fries, coleslaw, and a zero-sugar cola.
- ✔ Cheeseburger — beef patty + bacon + cheese + grilled onion
- ✔ Patty melt — sliced bread + beef patty + cheese + sautéed onion
- ✔ 18 Fries — thick-cut fries, 18mm wide
- ✔ Coleslaw — crisp, refreshing cabbage salad

At the self bar near the entrance, you can help yourself to cold water and pickles.

After we ordered, the staff neatly set out cutlery on the table.

The cheeseburger and 18 Fries at Daily Fix
After a short wait, everything came out at once. Seeing the cheeseburger next to that big pile of fries, it already looked like plenty of food. 🍔🍟

In the cheeseburger, you could see a thick patty, bacon, and cheese between the buns. With well-cooked onion added on top, it looked packed with filling!

The fries sitting beside it were noticeably thick at a glance too.

Cutting the burger in half, I could see the cheese melted softly over the beef patty, with layers of grilled onion and bacon inside.
One bite in, I was glad it wasn't too salty. The savory beef patty and cheese, the salty bacon, and the sweetly cooked onion balanced out really well together.

How do the 18mm-thick fries taste?
And then the 18 Fries I'd been looking forward to. 🍟 True to the name, they were noticeably thicker than regular fries at 18mm. The outside fried up crispy, while the inside kept a fluffy, potato-y texture.
A totally different appeal from thin, all-crispy fries! I kept dipping them in ketchup and reaching for more, and my kid said the fries were delicious and ate them right up too.

The hot, crisp patty melt
The patty melt was a menu item I'd never seen before, so I was curious. It's beef patty, cheese, and sweetly cooked onion sandwiched between crisply toasted bread. When I cut it in half, hot steam rose up from inside.

It felt quite different from a regular hamburger. Crisp toasted bread came together with a juicy patty and softly melted cheese, plus the sweet flavor of onion on top.

There was a generous amount of onion in particular, which made eating it with the patty even better. I shared some with my kid too, and she said it wasn't spicy and ate it happily. 😊

Crunchy coleslaw and radish pickles
Wanting something refreshing between the burger and fries, I also picked the coleslaw.

The cabbage kept its crisp texture instead of going soggy. It was nicely sweet-tart, and the dressing wasn't too heavy, making it a good side to eat alongside the patty and cheese.
I also liked the radish pickles from the self bar. Pickles can sometimes be a bit too sharply sour, but these weren't overly acidic, which I appreciated.

When you want a handmade burger in Seocho
Between the cheeseburger, 18 Fries, patty melt, and coleslaw, we left completely full. What stuck with me most was the 18mm fries — crispy outside, fluffy inside — and the patty melt loaded with sweet onion. It was a great spot to eat with my kid, and with the bar seating, it also looked like an easy option for a solo meal or quick lunch near Gyodae Station. Next time, I want to go back for the beer. 🍔🍺
