Pohang trip's first meal in Songdo: 240g chop steak at Plan A

For the first meal of my Pohang trip, I went to Plan A Restaurant for chop steak and pasta~ It's an ocean-view restaurant that really makes you feel like you're on a Pohang getaway, and the food was delicious too, so I'd recommend it as a Pohang date restaurant haha

Plan A Restaurant is a well-known spot in Songdo, Pohang. It sits right in front of Songdo Beach and is just 5 minutes by car from Jukdo Market, making it an easy stop for a Pohang trip or date. If you're driving, there's plenty of parking behind the building!

Plan A Restaurant hours, break time and closing day

The restaurant is open daily from 11:45 am to 9 pm, with break time from 3:15 pm on weekdays and 3:30 pm on weekends, both until 5 pm. Note that it's closed every Tuesday, so plan your visit accordingly~

Inside Plan A: seating, group tables and dogs

The restaurant was spacious and comfortable, with an overall white-toned interior and cute decorative touches that made for a relaxed dining atmosphere.

There's also a somewhat separated group seating area, so it'd be great for group gatherings too, and since it's a dog-friendly spot in Songdo, Pohang, it'd be perfect for anyone traveling with their dog haha

What the Songdo Beach view looks like from the 4th floor

Since it's right in front of Songdo Beach and on the 4th floor, this Pohang date restaurant is a true ocean-view spot with the sea in full view! Looking out at the blue East Sea really made it feel like I was on a Pohang trip haha

Ta-da~ here's the Plan A chop steak and truffle aglio olio I ordered. The presentation looked so good I got really excited for the taste haha

Plan A chop steak 240g, spicy: 35,000 won

Plan A chop steak 240g (spicy), ₩35,000. It came with hanwoo (Korean beef) and regular beef, onion, bell pepper, button mushroom, king oyster mushroom, oyster mushroom, fries, and salad. I thought 240g wouldn't be much, but with all those components it was actually quite hearty.

Being domestic hanwoo, the chop steak was really tender and delicious haha The sauce was great too, and the mushrooms and bell peppers were a nice touch. It says spicy on the menu but it wasn't very spicy at all, so it should suit most people~ And if you're sensitive to spice, there's a non-spicy version too!

It also comes with fries and salad — the fries are the thin style, so nice and crispy, and the salad dressing was tasty too. I think it'd pair even better with a glass of wine or beer haha

Truffle aglio olio, 16,000 won: how it tastes

Truffle aglio olio, ₩16,000. It's made with truffle pesto, black olives, garlic confit, garlic, cherry tomatoes, peperoncino, and Parmigiano Reggiano.

It tasted a bit different from what I expected, but it had a unique charm~ With the chopped olives, jalapeño, and garlic, it had a somewhat exotic feel, and the bright, clean flavor cut through the richness of the aglio olio in a distinctive and delicious way haha

Plan A Restaurant is an ocean-view spot that really makes you feel like you're on a Pohang trip, and the food is delicious too — a Pohang date restaurant I'd recommend as a Songdo, Pohang favorite.
