When I'm dieting, I'm always stuck on what to eat for lunch or dinner, and that's when a tasty but filling poke bowl comes to mind. This time I visited Hola Poke near Seolleung Station!
They have a wide variety of poke bowls, and you can adjust the ratio of salad to brown rice yourself, which makes it great for a diet meal. The seafood poke I had came with not just shrimp but octopus and scallop too, so it ended up way more filling than I expected. Let me introduce Hola Poke, a poke spot near Seolleung Station!

Inside the clean second-floor Hola Poke space
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch is located on the 2nd floor of the building. Walking in, the whole space felt clean and comfortable for eating a meal.

The seating was pretty spacious too, so it didn't feel awkward to eat solo, and the vibe was casual enough for a light lunch or dinner. It also seemed like a good spot for office workers near Seolleung Station looking for a healthy or light meal.
How many poke bowls are on the Hola Poke menu?

Hola Poke has quite a wide range of poke options, so you can pick according to your taste. That day I ordered the seafood poke.
And since just poke felt a bit lacking, I went for the poke + soup set. I chose mushroom soup, which is my favorite, haha.

Choosing the salad and brown rice ratio
Another thing I liked about Hola Poke was that when ordering, you can adjust the ratio of salad to brown rice yourself! If you're dieting and want to cut back on carbs, you can go heavier on salad, and if you want something more filling, you can load up on brown rice.
I went with roughly half salad, half brown rice that day, and the amount of brown rice was more generous than I expected, so it was quite filling.
What comes in the seafood poke bowl?
My shrimp poke arrived, and the portion was way more substantial than I expected.

Along with shrimp, it also had octopus, scallop, and flying fish roe — a whole mix of seafood.

The octopus was chewy, the scallop was soft, and the shrimp were nice and plump...! It felt like eating several different things in one poke bowl. Definitely more filling and tastier than just eating salad, haha.
Is truffle mayo the best sauce for seafood poke?

The flavor of a poke bowl really changes depending on which sauce you pick. I went with the truffle mayo sauce, which they say pairs well with seafood poke.
Adding truffle mayo to the shrimp, octopus, and scallop really brought out a savory, rich flavor. It also worked great when eaten together with the brown rice, salad, and seafood — genuinely delicious. Personally, choosing the right sauce was a pretty key part of enjoying this poke, haha.
The mushroom soup set that made the meal filling

I also tried the mushroom soup that came with the set — it was soft and creamy, way tastier than I expected!
If the poke feels cold and refreshing, pairing it with warm mushroom soup made for a pretty nice combo. If you think just poke alone might feel a bit lacking, I'd recommend getting the set like I did.
Why seafood poke works as a diet lunch or dinner

One reason I love poke bowls is that they let you eat lightly like a salad while still getting rice and protein. Hola Poke takes it further by letting you adjust the salad-to-brown-rice ratio, so you can eat however you feel that day. Go heavier on salad on light-eating days, or load up on brown rice when you want something more filling.

In particular, the seafood poke I had — with shrimp, octopus, scallop, and flying fish roe — was quite filling. So it'd suit anyone looking for a good restaurant near Seolleung Station who also wants to keep up with their diet!
Looking for a poke restaurant near Seolleung Station

If you only eat salad while dieting, you tend to get sick of it fast, but poke bowls let you eat brown rice, vegetables, and seafood or protein together, so they suit people who want both flavor and fullness. Hola Poke was especially nice because you can adjust the salad-to-brown-rice ratio to your own taste.
If you're looking for a good poke restaurant near Seolleung, or want a healthy meal that isn't too heavy for lunch or dinner, Hola Poke is worth a visit. I'd recommend it to anyone who, like me, wants to handle lunch or dinner with healthy food while dieting!
