Jonggak Italian restaurant dinner with lobster pasta: Schedule Osteria

Visiting Schedule Osteria near Jonggak Station

I finally visited Schedule Osteria, somewhere I had wanted to try for a while. It is close to Jonggak Station, so getting there was easy; we reserved ahead for a weekend dinner and arrived around 5:30 p.m.

Parking is available, but be careful with a large car

We drove, and basement parking is available in the building, with two hours of parking support. But the parking lot is really, really narrow, so anyone in a large car needs to be quite careful from the moment they head down. If that feels daunting, I also recommend using a nearby public parking lot.

A spacious room with window and sofa seating

The restaurant felt clean and upscale overall. Full-height windows made it feel open, and the generous spacing between tables was comfortable. There were also sofa seats for around six people, which looked great for family meals or gatherings, while the window seats had a nice mood for dates or blind dates. We were shown to a window table and enjoyed an unhurried meal.

Once you sit down, they first bring bread before the meal. It looked like nothing special, but with butter it was tastier than expected, and we finished it in no time.

The menu ranges from appetizers to pasta, risotto, and steak, and you can conveniently order from the tablet at the table.

Bisque spaghettini with a substantial lobster tail

As someone who loves shellfish, I simply could not pass over the lobster pasta when I saw it on the menu. It arrived with a lobster tail on top, and I liked that it was much more substantial than I expected. Its distinctive rich, savory flavor worked beautifully with the pasta, and picking out the lobster meat to eat with it was delicious, of course.

Sometimes pasta topped with lobster only looks impressive and does not actually give you much to eat, but this lobster tail was fairly substantial, so I think you would be satisfied.

A meal rounded out with medium salchi steak

We also ordered the Prime Salchi Steak. Salchi is a chuck flap cut, and it was cooked nicely to about medium, making it tender and easy to eat. Adding a steak made the meal feel much more abundant.

For two people, I would also recommend adding a steak or another dish to share.

Ragu lasagna and a matter of seasoning preference

The final dish was the ragu lasagna. It had a lightly crisp exterior and a soft interior, giving it a lovely texture, and it paired well with the ragu sauce. That said, how seasoned the food feels will depend on personal taste. My husband, who usually prefers milder flavors, found the overall seasoning a little strong, while I, who enjoy food with a bit of seasoning, ate it happily. I actually thought this level of seasoning would pair well with wine or drinks.

A Jonggak restaurant whose mood changes from day to night

Overall, Schedule Osteria was a restaurant where I could enjoy not only the food but also the atmosphere of the space. Its proximity to Jonggak Station is a plus, and its clean yet upscale mood made it seem well suited to special occasions. It would work for a relaxed family meal like ours, or for a Jonggak date, blind date, or a meeting to exchange wedding invitations where atmosphere is important.

As we ate, the sun had already begun to set. During the day, the full-height windows made the room bright and open; after sunset, the lights came on and transformed it into a much calmer, more atmospheric space, so it had a different charm depending on the time of day. It is also easy to reach from Euljiro 1-ga, so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant for a date in that area too. A slow walk along Cheonggyecheon after a good meal would make a pretty nice date course. If you want to enjoy delicious food in a lovely space, Schedule Osteria would be worth a visit for a special day or a date.
