Gijang outlet restaurant shopping break with shrimp pasta: Bueokgan

I was shopping at Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets and stopped for lunch at Bueokgan.

Ducking in for a meal in the middle of shopping at the outlet definitely made it taste even better haha.

A solid pick for Western food and lunch in Gijang and Busan — and being right on the 1st floor of the NORTH building at Busan Premium Outlets made it easy to swing by during our shopping route.

Waiting inside Bueokgan: is it comfortable with a child?

One thing I liked about Bueokgan is that even if there's a wait, you can sit comfortably inside the store rather than standing around outside. Much more convenient when you've come mid-shopping for a meal.

Inside, it's decorated warmly and neatly in wood tones, and the space is on the larger side, so it felt roomier than expected. A great choice for Western food and lunch in Gijang, and Western food in Busan.

It also felt like an easy place to eat with a kid, since they had a high chair and

kids' tableware ready to go.

What we ordered at Bueokgan: pastry soup, anchovy oil pasta, arugula prosciutto pizza

We ordered pastry soup, shrimp anchovy oil pasta, arugula prosciutto pizza, and two zero-sugar colas.

Pastry soup at Bueokgan

First, the pastry soup — warm soup topped with a crisp pastry dough. It was fun cracking the pastry open a little and eating it together with the soup.

Soft and warm, it made a nice starter for the meal.

Shrimp anchovy oil pasta

The shrimp anchovy oil pasta had plump, springy shrimp and the savory depth of anchovy running through the oil pasta.

It had that distinct nutty flavor oil pasta gets, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Arugula prosciutto pizza

And then the arugula prosciutto pizza! Chewy pizza dough topped with prosciutto and arugula — the salty prosciutto plus the fresh bite of arugula made it taste cleaner than I expected.

Overall, with dishes like the pasta and pizza that are easy to share with a kid, this seemed like a good option for a meal stop when visiting the outlet as a family.

What to know before visiting Bueokgan at the Gijang outlet

Maybe because we ate after a good long stretch of shopping, but the four dishes were all pretty delicious for us. That said, at busy meal times like the one we visited, the wait and the time for food to come out can stretch, so it's worth building in some extra time.

Still, the space was spacious and comfortable, well-equipped with amenities for kids, and being able to eat right along the shopping route was genuinely convenient. Highly recommended if you're shopping at Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets and looking for somewhere comfortable to eat with family.
