Seongsu brunch spot with self-bar pickles and corn gnocchi: Brivite
In short
Brivite Seongsu is a European-style pasta and brunch restaurant on Sangwon 6-gil near Ttukseom Station Exit 3 in Seongdong, Seoul. On a couple's date, the writer ordered scallion cream corn gnocchi for 18,900 won, salmon steak pasta for 19,900 won and a Greek yogurt salad for 11,900 won, and helped herself to pickles from the self-bar. With sunlight pouring over the table, the handmade gnocchi and the ragu-sauced salmon pasta made an easy pair to share at Brivite Seongsu.

Eating pasta somewhere with great atmosphere is one of my husband's and my favorite date activities these days. Today we visited Brivite Seongsu, a well-known brunch spot in Seongsu, and enjoyed pasta and gnocchi bathed in gorgeous natural light.

Brivite Seongsu is a great pasta and brunch spot for a Seongsu first date. Before I dive into the full post, here's a preview of the signature scallion cream corn gnocchi, salmon steak pasta, and Greek yogurt & tomato salad we had. Let's get into it!

Where is Brivite Seongsu, and what about parking and hours?
Address of Brivite Seongsu, a pasta spot in Seongsu: 5-1 Sangwon 6-gil, 1st floor, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, near Ttukseom Station Exit 3.
Parking: there's no dedicated parking space at the restaurant, so if you're driving you'll need to use a nearby paid lot. The Seongsu 1-ga 2-dong public parking lot and the underground parking at Seoul Forest A1 Center are both convenient options nearby.
Hours: open daily 11:30–21:15. During holidays, I recommend checking Naver before visiting — for Chuseok 2026, the restaurant is closed only on September 25, Chuseok Day itself. You can easily book ahead through Naver Reservation.

The mood at Brivite Seongsu, from first dates to meals with kids
The moment you walk in, you feel that European-restaurant atmosphere that's perfect for a date. Brivite works well not just for brunch but for lunch or dinner any time you're craving pasta, Western food, or steak — with friends, a partner, or family. Baby chairs are available too, so if you're looking for a kid-friendly restaurant in Seongsu, this is an easy pick. Whether it's an anniversary, a blind date, a wedding-invitation gathering, or a family meal, it's a comfortable place to eat in any situation.

Brivite Seongsu menu and what we ordered
Brivite Seongsu's menu has main dishes, side dishes, and a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with signature dishes clearly marked — great for a first-timer like me, since I didn't have to agonize over the choice. Since it was my first visit, I went with the signature scallion cream corn gnocchi (₩18,900), salmon steak pasta (₩19,900), and a side of Greek yogurt salad (₩11,900). Looking around later, I noticed literally every other table had ordered the spicy vongole oil pasta, loaded with fresh clams — it looked so good I'm already planning to try it next time. There's also a signature steak on the menu if you're in the mood for that, plus plenty of other Western dishes like fried eggplant and risotto, so there's something for every taste.

Free pickles from the self-bar
You can help yourself to pickles at the self-bar, and the tangy pickles paired perfectly with the Western dishes — I enjoyed them down to the last bite.

Greek yogurt and tomato salad, 11,900 won
The first dish to arrive was the salad with Greek yogurt and tomato. As soon as it hit the table, the aroma of basil and tomato was wonderful, and the smooth, nutty Greek yogurt paired beautifully with the fresh tomato — great for whetting the appetite and pairing with the mains.

Salmon steak pasta, 19,900 won: does salmon work with ragu sauce?
Next came the salmon steak pasta, Brivite's signature pasta: a ragu sauce base topped with tomato pasta and grilled salmon steak. I was curious how it would all come together.

The salmon steak, cooked perfectly through, paired surprisingly well with the ragu sauce. Mixing the sauce into the tomato pasta and eating it with the salmon made for a pasta I kept going back for — and it worked really well with the gnocchi too.

Scallion cream corn gnocchi, 18,900 won: how the handmade gnocchi tastes
There was a reason the scallion cream corn gnocchi is called Brivite Seongsu's main dish — the moment I tasted it, the sauce was exactly my kind of flavor. The gnocchi is 100% handmade, crisp on the outside and chewy inside, and scooping it up with the sauce made every spoonful work. The scallion cream, the corn that pops in your mouth, and the savory whole bacon all came together into a rich, layered flavor when eaten together.

If you're looking for a sunlit brunch spot in Seongsu that's great for a first date, how about giving Brivite Seongsu a try? It's a restaurant that works well with anyone — enjoy your meal there!
