Nape and hairline waxing in Gangnam, 30,000 won each: Nu Waxing & Brow

Hi everyone!! So I actually get waxing done pretty often. But out of all the waxing I've tried, the one I've been happiest with is honestly hairline waxing!!!! I had it done twice last year, but then life got busy and I couldn't keep up with it... and it kept bugging my eyes. So this time!!! I went to Nu Waxing & Brow near Gangnam Station.

I got so annoyed brushing my teeth and seeing those stray hairs sticking out... Since the owner also does brow design, I figured she'd probably do an even better job with the hairline too haha!!! So I booked it!!

It's close to Gangnam Station exits 1, 2, 3!! Super easy to get to~~ that's what I'm saying. When you're cutting it close on time and the station's far away, you break out in a cold sweat ^^;;

I made a reservation ahead of time! It seems super popular so booking must be essential~! I love that the prices are listed upfront and Naver reservation is available too. Haha.

Where is Nu Waxing & Brow near Gangnam Station, and is there parking?

Nu Waxing & Brow is located on the 2nd floor of Hyosung Harrington Tower The First near Gangnam Station!! The entrance is right next to Banapresso~! They even offer 1 hour of free parking. Good to know.

There are two elevators so it's really convenient! There are stairs too but... proof of a modern human lacking exercise ^^..

There's a map here but it hasn't been updated yet! Don't rely on it, just turn the corner and there's a sign guiding you haha

Arrived at Nu Waxing & Brow! I heard it's a go-to spot near Gangnam Station for brows and waxing so I had high expectations haha. This place would be perfect for a self-care day... there are nail salons and dermatology clinics nearby too, so you can knock everything out in one trip!!

Inside Nu Waxing & Brow: waxing in a chair, not on a bed

As soon as you walk into Nu Waxing & Brow, a water dispenser and slippers greet you. I changed into the slippers right away and waited a bit!!! There's a cute cat illustration above the water dispenser too.

Oh, they accept all kinds of payment methods, so it seems great for foreign visitors too?? K-beauty flag flying high.

The chair I'd be treated in today!! Dun dun. Uniquely, this place does treatments in a chair instead of a bed! It actually felt more comfortable, quick and efficient.

Sitting there looking around haha, the space was so neatly decorated I wanted my hair pulled out right away haha!! You might think, why pull out perfectly fine hair.. but did you know Jo Yi, Sunmi, and Suzy have all gotten hairline waxing among other corrections?? Rather than making your head look bigger, it actually creates more dimension and balances out the face better lol.

For the hairline waxing, the owner of Nu Waxing & Brow worked quickly with sure hands. I could see myself in the mirror the whole time, which I actually liked. She kept checking if the temperature was okay haha. Yes... please just rip all these crazy hairs out already ㅠ

Before..!! Even funnier with the clip holding my hair back. From leaving my last waxing job unattended, the hairs had grown completely forward lol.

Done..! Can you tell it's noticeably cleaner than before?? Last time, since it was my first time, I got a bit greedy and had way too much removed.. it looked good at the time, but as it grew back it looked like a beard, dark and stubbly, which really bothered me.

We could correct it more, but it won't look great while it's growing out. How about doing it like this and gradually increasing it over time?

But this time the owner of Nu Waxing suggested this approach first. Expert advice — you gotta listen right away, right? Haha

She applied aloe gel plus a pack like this haha. Actually, at the last waxing place... hives showed up the next day and I had to go to a dermatologist for medication (that's why I hadn't done it in a while). But this time with the double pack, I was totally fine.

This was my first time getting nape waxing at Nu Waxing & Brow, and with the stray hairs cleaned up, I could tie a ponytail the very next day. They said they take before-and-after photos for every customer since you can't really see the back of your own neck lol.

After!!!!! Wow, so much cleaner right?? My hairline wasn't super messy to begin with, but I did have a lot of baby hairs haha (not going to hide that I tied a ponytail the very next day..)
