Indoor laser tag in Seomyeon, Busan with kids: Laser Tag Sports

In short

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is an indoor laser tag (laser survival) arena in Seomyeon, Busanjin-gu, Busan, on the 2nd floor of the Artbox building behind Judith Taehwa. Two elementary-school boys picked up BPM guns, split into a Red Team and a Blue Team, and the whole family ran around with dinner riding on the result. For families in Seomyeon who want something more active than another meal or café, Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is worth one round.

I was on the hunt for things to do with the kids in Seomyeon, Busan, and this time I tried something a bit different. The place we visited was Laser Tag Sports in Seomyeon! The name might sound unfamiliar at first, but in short, it's a place where you play survival games with laser guns.

My kids love games and activities, so instead of just sitting around, I wanted to find somewhere they could actually move. They're old enough now to come out to Seomyeon with me, but honestly, once you're done eating and hitting a café, it's not always clear what else to do — especially with two boys, since shopping is out of the question haha. So I figured an indoor activity like this could be a good option, and we headed to Laser Tag Sports.

Where Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is, and which guns you can choose

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is on the 2nd floor of Artbox, right behind Judith Taehwa in Seomyeon! Indoor survival with laser guns — total win for boys, but honestly, adults have a blast too haha.

You can choose between two gun types: BRP and BPM2. One is the basic option, and the BPM has a recoil and reloading system that feels like a real gun, plus you can even wear an electric bracelet to make the game more immersive.

Our competitive little family geared up with the BPM guns haha and played for the right to pick dinner (meat vs. seafood, basically haha haha). My kids absolutely hate seafood, so whenever it comes down to this, I get to confidently pick the restaurant haha haha (too much talk... hehe).

Is laser tag in Seomyeon easy enough for young kids?

Laser Tag Sports isn't survival with real bullets — it's a game against the other team using laser guns. So there was very little to worry about doing this with the kids.

Holding your gun, moving around to spot the other team, hiding, and strategizing with teammates — it's a completely different kind of fun from just gaming at home.

The kids were pumped from the start haha. The moment they walked into the game zone with their guns, their faces suddenly went serious. Is this really Laser Tag Sports? haha "Mom, come play too!" — they were both calling me to their team, and seeing how excited they were got me excited too haha haha. We ran so much... the workout was way more intense than I expected haha haha.

Red Team vs Blue Team: how a game at Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon works

At Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon, teams are split into Red vs Blue, determined by the color of your gun. That day, I actually walked away with MVP on the Red Team (one shot, one kill, apparently? haha — I was a sharpshooter haha haha).

I thought laser survival was just about shooting guns, but once I actually played it, I realized you have to keep moving constantly. (It was genuinely so tiring and so fun haha.) Dodging the other team, hiding behind walls or obstacles, hunting down opponents — by the time the game ends, you're surprisingly worked up.

Since the kids could run around and play, it seemed especially well-suited for high-energy kids. It'd also make a fun, offbeat date idea in Seomyeon. After the game ended, my kids asked, "Can we go again?" 😂 They usually lose interest fast if something's not fun, so I guess this one was a hit.

An active thing to do in Seomyeon, Busan with kids

Seomyeon has plenty of great restaurants and cafés, but it can be tricky figuring out where to take the kids to actually have fun. Especially on hot days or rainy days, outdoor activities aren't really an option. If you're looking for somewhere active to play indoors, laser survival is worth trying at least once.

It's not something you just watch — the kids get to actually participate and move around, so it'd be fun with friends too, or splitting into family teams for a different kind of memory. It'd also make a great group activity.

Watching the kids play against each other was fun, but next time I want to properly join in and go head-to-head with them haha. Not sure if mom can win, but 😎.

Who Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is best for

  • ✔️ Anyone looking for an offbeat Seomyeon date, any age 🤍
  • ✔️ Workshops, group activities, or team-building games
  • ✔️ People looking for something different from the usual kids' café
  • ✔️ Kids who love playing by moving their bodies
  • ✔️ Anyone looking for a fun activity to do with friends
  • ✔️ Anyone wanting an indoor activity for a rainy or hot day

Most of all, seeing the kids have so much fun made me feel proud as a mom. It's a good option when you want something a little different from the usual Seomyeon date of eating and watching a movie. This time, visiting with the kids, I mostly enjoyed watching them play — next time, splitting into real family teams and seeing who wins could be fun too. We ended up playing happily alongside other families we'd never met before.
