Yeonsinnae hanwoo restaurant with free chadol ramyeon: Sambaek Hanu
In short
Sambaek Hanu Daecheop is a hanwoo (Korean beef) barbecue restaurant near Exit 7 of Yeonsinnae Station in Eunpyeong, Seoul. On a Friday evening, a couple grilled 300g of aged beef rib meat (sogalbisal) at Sambaek Hanu Daecheop and received a free hanwoo chadol (brisket) ramyeon through the Naver receipt review event. 300g was just the right amount for two, and the best part was being able to grill beef at this price without hesitation.

Finding Sambaek Hanu Daecheop near Exit 7 of Yeonsinnae Station on a Friday night
Sambaek Hanu Daecheop is super accessible since it's right near Exit 7 of Yeonsinnae Station. We went on a Friday evening, and even though there was some kind of beer festival happening right outside the station, I was surprised at how many customers were already there haha

Customers kept coming in after us. Even in the middle of the rush, the owner and staff were friendly, which made the meal feel really pleasant.

What's on the menu at Sambaek Hanu Daecheop: sogalbisal leads the list
Sambaek Hanu Daecheop's signature dish is sogalbisal (beef rib meat). You have to try the aged sogalbisal and the garlic sogalbisal 🤫 Besides galbisal, they also have sirloin, chadolbagi (brisket), and salchisal (chuck flap) — all delicious. Beef can feel expensive, but the biggest advantage here is that you can enjoy it for about the price you'd pay buying it raw at a grocery store haha.

How the Naver receipt review event gets you a free hanwoo chadol ramyeon
We ordered 300g of aged sogalbisal that day! And after ordering the meat, we also joined the Naver receipt review event — if you write a receipt review, you get to choose either hanwoo chadolbagi ramyeon or mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles) for free haha. You should all try this.
We went back and forth but decided we couldn't eat meat without finishing with ramyeon lol, so we picked the hanwoo chadolbagi ramyeon.

You just order easily using the tablet at each table.

Grilling 300g of aged sogalbisal: how the beef tasted
Isn't the color of the 300g of sogalbisal gorgeous?
They greased the grill with the fat trimmings first lol.

I was on dental medication that day so I ordered Terra Zero beer — of the zero beers, Terra tastes the best in my opinion 👍🏻

The savory smell of sogalbisal rising off the grill made my mouth water 🤤
Taking that first bite, I felt a chewy yet tender texture, and the rich meaty flavor lingered in my mouth for a while.

Grilled just right, each bite had a subtle juiciness, and the deep beef flavor came through more the longer I chewed. Dipped lightly in salt, you really taste the meat itself, but eating it with the side dishes gives you a totally different flavor, so I kept mixing and matching haha.
Galbisal especially can get tough if you grill it too long, but I found it tastiest cooked just until slightly golden brown.

Was the hanwoo chadol ramyeon any good?
And then the hanwoo chadolbagi ramyeon 🍜 we got from the receipt review event. Eating it alongside the meat, it went really well together. The chadolbagi's distinctive savory flavor made the broth richer and heavier than a regular ramyeon. With the brisket in it, the fatty savoriness seeped into the broth and paired perfectly with the spicy noodles 👍🏻

Is 300g enough for two, and is the price worth it?
300g was just the right amount for two people, and what I loved most was being able to grill beef comfortably at this price. Along with their signature hwangje galbisal, you can enjoy beef dishes at fairly reasonable prices, and the aged sogalbisal we had was solid too, with a savory meat aroma and chewy texture.
Even though the place was quite busy with a full house on a Friday night, the staff were friendly and attentive!! I'd recommend this to anyone near Yeonsinnae Station looking for a good-value, tasty Korean BBQ spot 👏🏻 Yeonsinnae is quick to reach on the GTX, so I'll definitely come back with my husband next time 😆❤️
