Jasmine tea scone and strawberry jam at Center Coffee, Guui East
In short
Center Coffee Guui East Pole is a specialty coffee and dessert café on the basement floor of East Pole, right next to Guui Station in Gwangjin, Seoul. Instead of the usual plain or chocolate scone, the writer chose the jasmine tea scone with strawberry jam alongside a specialty coffee and a decaf drink. Crisp outside, soft and crumbly inside, with jasmine cutting through the butter's richness — a 100% repeat visit.

Don't we all have a small, cozy healing spot tucked away in our minds, somewhere to catch our breath from the daily grind? Personally, I love stopping by a café with a sentimental atmosphere after a tiring day, sipping a deep, fragrant cup of coffee alongside a sweet, nutty dessert to recharge.

This time I visited Center Coffee Guui East Pole, a spot near Guui Station that's rapidly rising as a hotspot — known for its comfortable atmosphere, high-quality specialty coffee, and above all, desserts of surprisingly high quality.

From the charm of the space to a dessert lineup you don't often see elsewhere, everything lived up to the hype, so I wanted to share a detailed visit review with you! The staff were super kind too ❤️

Dessert lineup and prices
☕ A dessert lineup that shows real care and quality. Center Coffee is well known as a curated specialty coffee brand and a top coffee spot in Gwangjin-gu, but the bakery and dessert menu paired with the coffee was equally impressive, item by item.
Inside the transparent display case, the carefully prepared desserts were neatly arranged — just looking at them put me in a happy dilemma over what to choose.

From rich, deep-flavored cakes to scones that are crisp outside and moist inside — a perfect match with coffee — the lineup was substantial. Each dessert looked clean and appetizing, a treat for both the eyes and the mouth.

How does the jasmine tea scone taste?
A harmony of subtle tea aroma and a crisp, nutty flavor! Among the many appealing dessert options, the item that instantly caught my eye was the 'jasmine tea scone.' Unlike the plain or chocolate scones you commonly see at cafés, the addition of elegant, subtle jasmine tea flavor to the dough felt fresh and unique!

When the jasmine tea scone and drink arrived, I took an excited first bite. In that moment, a rich, nutty butter flavor filled my mouth, followed by the fragrant, elegant scent of jasmine tea lingering subtly at the finish — truly excellent.
The texture, which is really the essence of a scone, was perfect too. Pleasantly crisp outside while soft, crumbly, and moist inside — it completely made up for the dryness scones can sometimes have. The clean, refreshing jasmine tea aroma gently cut through the slight richness or heaviness a butter scone can bring, so I enjoyed it from start to finish without getting tired of it.

Strawberry jam and drink pairing
Spreading a bit of the strawberry jam served with the scone on top created a mysterious harmony between sweet fruit aroma and the elegant tea scent, rounding out an even deeper, richer flavor. Paired with Center Coffee's own deep, rich specialty coffee, or

a cool, clean decaf drink, my palate felt refreshed and the nutty flavor of the scone was amplified even more. I could immediately understand why this place has such a strong word-of-mouth reputation as a 'café dessert near Guui Station.'

Final verdict and would I return?
💡 Center Coffee Guui East Pole isn't just a place with great desserts or drinks. The deep flavor and aroma of carefully extracted specialty coffee, the distinctive desserts like the jasmine-scented scone, and the comfortable, tasteful interior come together perfectly to give visitors a truly proper rest.
If you're looking for a great café near Guui, a date spot, a meeting place with a friend, or a dessert café for some quiet solo healing time near Guui Station, I recommend this place without hesitation.
I was so satisfied spending a fragrant, delicious dessert time in this cozy, upscale atmosphere, and I'll definitely be back soon to try more desserts along with the jasmine tea scone again — 100% revisit for me!
