Café near Children's Grand Park with pour-your-own-shot americano
In short
Wonz Coffee is a white-toned neighborhood café near Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin, Seoul. Visiting with family on a Saturday evening, the writer ordered the Grand Park mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert), an iced americano, and a macadamia financier, and the owner, a former national barista, handed over the espresso shot separately so it could be poured and mixed in by hand. Both the mango bingsu and the financier were satisfying enough to make this a return-visit café.

That café near Children's Grand Park I'd always wondered about
Today I'm introducing Wonz Coffee, located near Children's Grand Park. I'd walked past it a few times on neighborhood strolls and always wondered about it! This time I finally got the chance to visit with my family, and it was sooo good that I'm bringing you the review right away haha.
Just a heads up — weekend opening is a bit later than on weekdays :)

How could you see this and not walk in ... 🥹
White-toned interior, no wait even on a Saturday evening
The interior was clean and white-toned, but still comfortable enough to sit and relax in! It had that cozy neighborhood-café feel, perfect for chatting with family.
We visited on a Saturday evening and luckily got seated right away with no wait.
On one side there was a nice spread of baked goods too — scones, cookies, and financiers.

Everything looked delicious, so I spent a good while just looking around ... 👀

Board games, blankets, even cold and filtered water — nice touches
Wonz Coffee also runs a few events! If any of these apply to you, worth keeping in mind for your visit.

They even have a Da Vinci Code board game, great for coming with family or friends ~

Blankets are also on hand for when you need them — such a nice touch!
The fridge had bottled drinks too, and they're running a buy-3-get-1-free event on cold brew portions.

They said gift sets can also be shipped, so if you're thinking about Chuseok gifts, this might be worth a look. — They even have a Naver Smart Store.

The packaging is so pretty, I'd be so happy to receive one as a gift!
Have you ever seen a café with both cold and filtered water on offer... this place really pays attention to the details haha.
Former national barista owner, and choosing your beans
I heard the owner is a former national team barista! Maybe that's why you can really feel how serious this place is about coffee ...

You can even buy the beans separately.
Behind the kiosk there was also a photo booth machine! My family and I left with a little memory of our own.
On one wall, photos taken here were lined up in rows, so it was fun to browse them too.

There's a huge variety of drinks, not just coffee. On top of that, they also have several kinds of bingsu (shaved ice dessert) — milk bingsu, red bean bingsu, mango bingsu — all orderable through the kiosk!

You can also choose your beans to your taste! I'm firmly no-acidity, always ...
Grand Park mango bingsu, fun to top up with fruit yourself
Finally, our order arrived! We went all in and ordered the mango bingsu, iced americano, and a macadamia financier.

Honestly, the mango bingsu was just insane ... 🥹
The mango pieces and the milk shaved ice came out separately, so you could pile them on however you liked.

Honestly, even the milk bingsu on its own was so good! Snow-soft and melting, and adding the sweet mango on top made it even more insane.

Piling on a generous amount of mango made it sweet and refreshing and just made me so happy. No question — the mango bingsu was my favorite thing that day ... 💛
Pour-your-own-shot iced americano: Sirius Deep Black

Here, they give you the espresso shot separately so you can play barista for a moment — isn't that so fun!
They swirled the crema around to mix it,
and showed us how to pour it in like this!

Tasting it, it was clean with no acidity — really good. For reference, we ordered the Sirius Deep Black beans! If you like nutty coffee with no acidity, I highly recommend Sirius Deep Black.
Macadamia financier, warm and moist

Warm and moist — this place is genuinely a financier spot! Everyone, make sure to try one of the financiers too. You'll understand once you taste it ...

Empty bowl confirmed ~ 🤤
Good to know before you go (pets, groups, parking)
If you're bringing a pet, check the usage guide first too 🐶
Wonz Coffee has special coupons on Naver, so anyone planning to visit should check those before going!
Bulk takeout orders of 30+ cups or café rentals for education-related use can apparently be arranged through Naver Reservation.
Parking is available for about 2 cars beside the café, and if there's no space, you can use the Guui-mun public parking lot at Children's Grand Park — I heard it's fairly cheap too, so worth keeping in mind!
Not just me but my whole family enjoyed everything and left really satisfied. If you're looking for a café near Children's Grand Park with good bingsu and coffee, take my word for it and give Wonz Coffee a try!
