Seongsu café with takeout soft serve for a stroller walk: Mellows
In short
Mellows is a soft serve café in Seongsu, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Ttukseom Station, set in a red-brick building with a wood-tone terrace. On a day out with a baby, the writer ordered mango and peach soft serve at 4,500 won each, 9,000 won in total, and took them to go because the indoor space is small, eating them on the walk to Seoul Forest. Piled with fresh fruit toppings, Mellows felt like good value and fit neatly into a stroller-walk route.

Hi everyone! It's Vivienne haha. On a beautiful day I went out for a stroll in Seongsu! After lunch I was craving something sweet, so I headed to Mellows, famous as a Seongsu dessert spot~ I'd heard it uses Sangha Farm ice cream and has really good prices, so I went in with high expectations lol.
What is the café like inside Mellows?
Mellows stands out even from a distance with its red-brick building and wood-tone terrace! It has a European alleyway feel, the kind of place that makes you stop as you walk by hahaha.

The interior is pretty small and you order at the kiosk! The owner was so kind that I felt comfortable going in with the baby 🤍 It seems dog-friendly too — I saw another customer there with their dog~

What is on the menu at Mellows?
The menu is roughly split into a basic line and a fruit line.
- Basic: original, affogato, matcha, peanut butter
- Fruit: mango, peach, strawberry
In the evenings they also serve cocktails and beer — a café that changes character from day to night!

What we ordered: mango and peach soft serve for 9,000 won

Ta-da~ we picked two from the fruit line!
- Mango soft serve ₩4,500
- Peach soft serve ₩4,500
₩9,000 total! For Seongsu, that's genuinely a good price haha. There's a generous amount of fruit topping for the price! The portions were hearty too, so sharing one each was just right. I'd recommend picking two fruit flavors and splitting them! If you like coffee, mixing in an affogato would work well too.
🥭 Mango soft serve at Mellows

Plenty of mango piled on top of rich milk ice cream! The sweet mango and soft ice cream go together perfectly.
🍑 Peach soft serve at Mellows

Big chunky pieces of peach on top. It's not just on top, either — there's peach mixed inside too, so it was delicious all the way through!

I let the baby try a little of the fruit and she munched away happily lol.

Doesn't sitting here looking out the open window seem like it would have a nice mood? During the day the sunlight is great, and apparently in the evening the lights come on and the atmosphere changes completely!

Visiting with a baby: terrace seats or takeout
Mellows' terrace has plenty of seats, so it looked comfortable even for a group. Indoor seating is limited, so if you're going with a baby, I'd recommend the terrace or taking it to go! We got ours to go and ate while walking toward Seoul Forest lol.

Hours, parking and other practical info
Mellows is closed on Sundays, so if you're planning a weekend outing, go on Saturday! The interior is narrow, so it's easier to leave the stroller outside and use the terrace.
The walk from Mellows to Seoul Forest
The walk from Mellows to Seoul Forest is just the right distance! Stroll along slowly with your ice cream and you'll get there in no time. It's a great stroller-walk route to time with the baby's nap. Pro tip: buy the ice cream first, then head to Seoul Forest — eating it on the way in felt better than on the way out lol.
Is Mellows worth a stop in Seongsu?
