From outside, there's no sign, so it's a café you could easily walk right past. And yet it's a dessert café favorite in Gojan-dong, Ansan, with a spacious interior that's packed with people and keeps filling up.

Degree Gojan Branch is a bakery café and brunch café in Gojan-dong. There are sandwiches, bagels, and baguettes you can enjoy as a simple brunch, plus plenty of sweet bakery items to pair with coffee.

I also had a glass of watermelon juice with real watermelon chunks — moderately sweet without any artificial sweetness, just genuinely like watermelon itself ♡

On the ciabatta bread, there was something creamy — a special sauce maybe? The mild flavor really got my appetite going, and it paired well with the chewy texture of the bread, making it even tastier.

The chocolate baguette had chocolate studded not just on top but throughout the inside, giving it a sweet, rich chocolate flavor that I loved. Even though it's a baguette, the bread itself wasn't too tough — more emphasis on chewiness.

This is the showcase inside the store. Degree Gojan bakes bread on site and displays it right away. The freshness is on another level.

Besides sandwiches, there are croissants, salt bread, ciabatta, and more.

Rather than flashy, super-sweet breads, there's a lot that leans classic and basic, more like meal bread, which makes it good for brunch too. These are breads that feel a bit less sweet, so probably better for you — but they're also delicious.

The angbutter baguette (red bean and butter) and the jambon baguette are tasty too, since the base bread itself is good. There's also a fig cream cheese baguette.

You can also choose your coffee's flavor profile — acidity or nutty — and there's a review event too.

Where to park at Degree Gojan, and what the seating is like

Degree Gojan, located right on the main road of Gwangdeok-daero in Ansan, is on the first floor of the Lotte Cinema building. The Lotte Cinema building is divided into Building A and Building B for parking, and while technically this Ansan dessert café is in Building A, you can park in either A or B — no need to worry about which one.

The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a bright, open view of the outdoors. The tables are either small and round or long, a bit different from your typical café tables.

During peak hours this Gojan-dong bakery café favorite really has no seats left, but since I came early, it was a bit more relaxed today ^^ Since they also do delivery, delivery riders kept coming in and out. If you're nearby, be sure to stop by.
