Truffle funghi pizza and sofa seats, Sejong: Olivus Compagno Boram
In short
Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch is a European-style Italian restaurant in Boram-dong, across from Sejong City Hall. A family of three stopped in after walking Eungdari Bridge and ordered the two-person set (potato soup, bacon cream pasta, truffle funghi pizza and two ades) plus a flat iron steak. The sofa seats at Olivus Compagno felt private and comfortable, and the portions were generous enough that the family took the leftover pizza home.

I was walking by not long ago when a delicious smell caught me — turned out to be Olivus Compagno. I bookmarked it to try later, but I got too curious and ended up going with my family.

European-style exterior and the relaxed dining room

Here's the red-toned, European-style exterior.

The interior was bigger than I expected, with a variety of seating — window seats, sofa seats, and even group seats 💯 Personally, the sofa seats were super comfortable and felt slightly private, which made conversation easy. Since the space is so roomy, there were even guests with strollers. It seems like a fine place to bring babies too.

The interior design had a nice mood too, great for photos. They even had a Blue Ribbon sticker, so it must be a well-known spot.

While waiting after ordering, it was fun looking around at the little decorative pieces scattered about.

The two-person set plus a flat iron steak for a family of three
There were three of us, and since we'd just taken a walk along Eungdari Bridge before coming, we were pretty hungry — so we ordered the two-person set (potato soup, bacon cream pasta, truffle funghi pizza, berry ade, passionfruit ade) plus a flat iron steak.

First came the potato soup with two pieces of bread and the ades. Even though it was just one bowl of soup, they thoughtfully gave us individual bowls and a serving spoon so we could share it. The soup wasn't overly potato-heavy, but it was rich and creamy and tasted great — a good match with the crusty baguette too.

The flat iron steak was cooked just right, tender and juicy. There was a nice variety of grilled vegetables to pick from too. My only slight disappointment was that it didn't come with a sauce.

The truffle funghi pizza was topped generously with roasted mushrooms, which our mushroom-loving family loved. The truffle flavor wasn't too strong, so it seems like something most people would enjoy.

The bacon cream pasta had that thick, savory cream sauce with bacon — you really can't go wrong with that combo.
Is Olivus Compagno a good spot for a family meal or a date in Sejong?

A lot of Italian restaurants in Sejong tend to have cramped spaces and uncomfortable chairs, but Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch had a really comfortable feel to the space. It seems great for a date or a family gathering. Recommended 👍 The food tasted great and the staff were kind. Portions were generous too, so we took the pizza home.

It's a great spot to visit after a walk around Sejong Lake Park or Eungdari Bridge. The spacing between tables is wide, so I'd also recommend it for a blind date or a date spot.
