Sejong pizza restaurant for truffle funghi pizza: Olivus Compagno
In short
Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch is an Italian restaurant on the first floor of Gangnam Plaza in Boram-dong, Sejong. On a weekday evening for two, one truffle funghi pizza at 18,900 won and one red shrimp rosé panne pasta at 19,900 won were more than enough for both diners. The truffle funghi pizza, covered edge to edge in mushrooms, is the top pick at Olivus Compagno, and since the tables fill up, a reservation is worth making.

This is a review of Olivus Compagno Boram Branch, a spot I go to fairly often for date nights.

What is the atmosphere like at Olivus Compagno Boram?
From outside, Olivus Compagno Boram Branch has this upscale, red-toned look that still feels comfortable, and the kitchen is open, so it kind of feels like you've landed in Europe. That impression got even stronger since there were some foreign guests at the group table haha...
For starters, Olivus Compagno is a Blue Ribbon-certified spot, so it's already proven itself, and on top of that the interior atmosphere was great too~!

Olivus Compagno location, parking and opening hours
It's located right in front of Sejong Tax Office, on the 1st floor of Gangnam Plaza. Go at night and the lights are on, making the atmosphere even prettier (plus you get a bonus walk on Eung Bridge!).
It's close to Sejong City Hall and within walking distance of Eung Bridge, the pedestrian bridge over the Geumgang River, so it makes a great date course — dinner followed by a stroll.
- 🚗 Parking — Gangnam Plaza underground parking lot. The entrance is a bit narrow, but there was plenty of space once inside, so that was nice!
- 🕚 Hours — Daily 11:00 ~ 20:30, break time 15:00 ~ 17:00
- Last order — Lunch 14:20 / Dinner 19:50

What to order for two: one pizza and one pasta
Here's what we ordered. Just the two of us, and just two dishes.

Red shrimp rosé panne pasta — ₩19,900 / Truffle funghi pizza — ₩18,900. Honestly I thought one pasta and one pizza might not be quite enough for two people, but the pizza came out bigger than expected, so it worked well for two of us (we ended up way too full, actually). Add one drink to that and it was just right for two~!

Truffle funghi pizza, the top pick at Olivus Compagno
Truffle funghi pizza, my top pick!! If you ever visit Olivus Compagno, you have to try the truffle funghi pizza 🔥 It's just an absolute unit.
The mushrooms are piled on with zero restraint. Button, shiitake, king oyster — thickly sliced, every kind, blanketing the whole pizza edge to edge. When you lift a slice, the cheese stretches out so far a photo doesn't even capture it all.

The flavor, in a word, is deep and refined! The truffle aroma isn't overpowering — it blends naturally with the mushrooms' own flavor for a really harmonious bite. This is easily in my top 3 pizzas ever.
Personally, if I could only order one thing here, I'd pick this without hesitation (it was way better than the margherita pizza I had last time!!!).
How was the red shrimp rosé panne pasta?
Second up, the red shrimp rosé panne pasta was also delicious. True to its name, it's panne-style — pasta served inside a bread bowl.
Big whole red shrimp on top made it look hearty right away~! A bit of arugula on top added some nice color too. Best of all, the bread was moist. The sauce soaks in here, so you can tear off soft, sauce-soaked pieces. After finishing the pasta, we even dipped the leftover bread in the sauce and cleaned the whole thing out.
The sauce is rosé, but it's surprisingly spicy. It's not a flat, cream-only rosé — there's a little kick in the aftertaste, which paired really well with the pizza! Rich pizza → spicy pasta → back to pizza — cycling through in that order kept things from ever feeling monotonous. Highly recommend this combo!

Pickles have to be ordered separately
One more thing worth praising! The pickles were firm, not mushy, and tangy — felt handmade. Just note that they're not served automatically with your first order; you have to request them separately (they're free).
Taste: ★★★★★ / Value: ★★★★☆ / Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ / Would revisit: ★★★★★

Is a reservation needed at Olivus Compagno Boram?
Officially certified as a Boram-dong must-visit!! This was my third visit, and next time I'm coming back for the gnocchi and steak, so I'll be back with another review haha.
PS) Even though we came on a weekday evening, all but one or two tables were full, and food does take a bit of time to come out, so I'd recommend making a reservation!
