Came to Yeonnam again today after a while haha. When I lived in Ilsan I used to come to Hongdae/Yeonnam all the time since it was so close, but now that I'm further away I can't come as often, which makes me a bit sad...

Yeonnam especially has always had a nice vibe and so many good restaurants that it was always a great place to meet up. So today — back to Yeonnam again! I'd been craving pizza since last week, so I went to Sunny's Pizza Market in Yeonnam-dong :) !

How long is the walk from Hongik University Station?

This Yeonnam-dong pizza spot, Sunny's Pizza Market, is right in the Randy's Donuts alley next to Gyeongui Line Forest Park! It's about a 10-minute walk from Hongik University Station.

What are the 2nd-floor window seats like?

Sunny's Pizza Market is on the 2nd floor of its building in Yeonnam-dong, and thanks to the full window view, you can find the windows wide open on cool days like this.

It was cool out with a breeze drifting in, and it felt so atmospheric and nice haha. Maybe because the windows were open, even with a lot of customers it wasn't loud — it had a calm feel, which made me think this is exactly the kind of place for a date!

Sunny's Pizza Market has been a Blue Ribbon-selected restaurant for three years running since 2024. On top of that, it's also been recognized as a Coca-Cola pick and a Red Ribbon selection — a genuinely famous spot ㅇㅇ I can't believe there was a pizza place like this in Yeonnam-dong this whole time,, I feel cheated after all my time wandering around Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong!

Also, it's a Vision Store that supports World Vision's work for children's dreams :-) The owner was incredibly kind the whole time I was there, which put me in a great mood haha, and I had no idea they were doing such good work too! (Definitely a place to support with your wallet...)

What's at the self-serve bar?

Sunny's Pizza Market, the pizza spot in Yeonnam-dong, is decorated with cute little props throughout, so there's fun in just looking around — and even the self-serve bar is done up adorably haha.

The self-serve bar has hot sauce, parmesan cheese, pepperoncino and other spices/sauces to add on, plus paper bags for taking home any leftover pizza — such a nice touch :-)

From basic cheese pizza to pepperoni, potato, and Hawaiian, there's such a wide variety of delicious pizzas! There are half-and-half pizzas and single-serving pizzas too, so it's a great spot whether you're coming alone or with a group.

Large Half & Half for 27,300 won: is it enough for two?

We ordered the Half & Half (Large) for ₩27,300, a combo of Smooth Potato and Sunny's Combination. Two women visited, and since the regular size felt like it might leave us wanting more, we went with large and skipped a side!

But... the portion was way bigger than expected... even after really pushing ourselves to finish, two slices were left ㅋㅋ The pizza itself is big, but the toppings are just insane.

For two adult women, I'd say a regular pizza plus one side is about right! Of course, you can always pack up the leftovers ㅇㅇ

Garlic dipping sauce and pickles come included as standard. These days a lot of places make you pay extra for garlic dipping sauce, but here it's the default sauce.. The self-serve bar also has parmesan, hot sauce, and more!

Can you see how amazing this pizza looks... ㅠㅠ The owner apparently pays close attention to every ingredient and sauce..! The pizza sauce is homemade too haha (+ the cheese is natural cheese too, apparently — amazing)

With the cool breeze coming in and a great view outside, plus the pizza looking so delicious! It just put me in such a good mood! Seriously.. this is hands-down the best pizza spot for a date in Yeonnam..

Smooth Potato half

Even without adding any extra cheese or toppings, it already comes loaded with toppings! Every time you lift a slice, cheese and toppings just cascade down ㅋㅋ Ah... no wonder it's a well-known pizza spot in Yeonnam-dong... ㅠ

True to its name, the Smooth Potato is layered with a generous potato mousse, topped with salty bacon and tons of cheese — pairs so well with hot sauce...!!!

Sunny's Combination half

This one I ordered because the name alone sounded delicious — Sunny's Combination! (Any menu item with the restaurant's own name in it is guaranteed to be good ㅇㅇ)

This one's toppings are amazing too,, it comes with a trio of pepperoni, bulgogi, and bacon inside. And the cheese was seriously abundant too ㅠㅠ

Can you see the cheese stretching? ,,, That tells you just how loaded the toppings are ㅇㅇ Maybe because it's natural cheese, even after eating a lot it didn't feel greasy at all!

Final verdict on Sunny's Pizza Market

Sunny's Pizza Market was so good it's almost a shame I only just found out there was a pizza spot like this in Yeonnam-dong! With cheese and toppings piled on generously and such a friendly owner, I was in a good mood the entire meal :-)

Maybe thanks to the natural cheese and homemade sauce, it felt cleaner and less heavy, so I ended up eating more than usual ㅋㅋ The atmosphere was also quiet and relaxed, making it such a great spot for a date! You have to go!
