It's close to Hyehwa Station Exit 4, so it's easy to find, and the vibe was perfect for a date spot too.

Omil is on the 2nd floor, and cuteness and coziness coexisted from the entrance onward.
Inside Omil Hyehwa Daehangno: seating and mood
The whole restaurant had soft, warm lighting, so I could eat in a comfortable atmosphere.
The tidy layout and tables also made it easy to chat
and the plants and little props placed here and there added extra charm.
There were also plenty of baby chairs available, so it seemed like a great spot whether you come with a kid or get together with friends in Hyehwa.
Menu prices and how ordering works

Omil is very famous for this rubber duck omurice. Besides that, they also have various signature dishes like pastas, steaks, and risottos.

Self-service bar: pickles, water and phone charging

Before the food came out, I grabbed cucumber and cabbage pickles and water from the self-service bar.

The self-service bar also had phone charging, which stood out as a thoughtful touch.
And these cucumber and cabbage pickles really came in handy. They're crunchy and fresh, great as a side, so definitely have some!

How did the gochujang butter pasta taste?
Okay, now the food came out, and the first thing to arrive was the gochujang butter pasta.

Even from the visuals it looked so appetizing and neatly plated.
As Omil's bestseller, if you come here, you have to try this.
The level of richness was fantastically good, and the gochujang base blended perfectly with what could've been a heavy sauce, giving it great savory flavor. The noodles were cooked just right too, so I mixed them all up with the sauce and finished the whole thing.

And the sous-vide pork shoulder on top was so tender and delicious, and the portion was generous too, so it was a filling meal.
Spicy fan steak risotto: how spicy is it?

It was a risotto with nicely browned fan-shaped skirt steak and tomato, and it was very much to my taste!

The vegetables stir-fried in chili oil and the risotto sauce went so well with the rice grains, and the seasoning wasn't too heavy, spicy but also savory, with just the right saltiness! The steak was cooked well too, and it was delicious.
Chongchongchong Rubber Duck Omurice and the summer rubber-duck toy

I gasped the moment it arrived! It was so cute I could hardly bring myself to pick up the spoon.

Fluffy rice covered with a blanket of egg, and then those cute quail-egg ducks on top — the visuals were absolutely killer, haha.
And this rubber duck omurice comes with rubber duck merch on top as a kind of event — in summer, they call it the summer rubber duck, and they put a little duck toy playing in water on top.
Apparently, they even give this to you as a keepsake! It was so cute that I kept it on the table and played with it while eating, haha.
Anyway, gotta eat, haha — when I carefully cut it in half, the portion was generous, and the rice inside was fried up just right, nice and fluffy.
Eating the salmon fried rice, the egg omurice topping, and the hamburg sauce together, it wasn't too heavy in flavor, so it was easy to eat.

Review-event basil tomato ade, and Pepsi for zero cola
And, if you write a review for their review event, they give you an ade like this, so I took part and got the basil & tomato ade.
The basil tomato ade was really well made too — it had plenty of basil in it so you could really taste the aroma, and it paired nicely with the tomato ade, perfect as a palate cleanser! If you visit, I recommend joining the review event and trying the ade too.

And my husband, who loves carbonated drinks, ordered a zero cola, and nicely enough, the zero cola they serve is Pepsi. Really nice touch!
