In short

What Jichilliya Jeju looks like from the street

A big menu board is set up right at the entrance, so I could take a comfortable look before going in.
What's on the menu at Jichilliya Jeju?

The main menu is really varied and every dish sounded delicious — red-hued yukhoe (raw beef), seafood pancake, herb pancake, spicy hot pot, hogam-jeon (savory pancake), seafood eomuk hot pot, smoky bulgogi nabe, dongpo-style braised pork, yuzu octopus, bulgogi with bean sprouts, chewy squid salad, and an injeolmi-brie-cheese platter 🤤
The side menu had even more to choose from — grilled chicken thigh, aged kimchi tuna roll, pollock roe cream potatoes, buckwheat perilla-oil noodles, grandma-style galbi bibim, spicy seafood ramen, ice ppeong-carong, and yuzu tomato — so many tempting options that picking was genuinely hard ➰

The drink list was also varied, from highballs to traditional makgeolli, soju and beer, and this place's signature clearly seemed to be traditional liquor haha!!

For a welcome drink they brought out bamboo liquor 🎋 — it really captured this place's traditional-liquor vibe!! 🍶

The basic side dishes were set out first haha

Small plates, a water cup, and a set of chopsticks and a spoon were ready at the table.
Inside Jichilliya Jeju: mood, tables and bar seats

Being an izakaya, the atmosphere did a lot of the work — when I arrived it was packed, but as time passed some guests left so I managed to get a few photos. It seemed like a great spot for a second round, a date, or a group gathering. There's a bar table too.
