Why redo 4-year-old brow tattoo traces at Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch?

It's already been about 4 years since I got my eyebrows tattooed~! The traces from my old eyebrow tattoo are still there, but the color had faded overall and the shape wasn't symmetrical anymore, so I wanted an expert's touch to reshape my brows and headed to Salon Dohe in Sanbon :-)

Where is Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch, and what is the salon like?

Salon Dohe isn't far from Sanbon Station, so it wasn't hard to find. It's located at Suite 703 of the Seoryeon Building in Sanbon's main shopping district 🥳

The first thing I noticed walking into the shop was how clean and tidy it was! The interior was beautifully done, and I could tell care had gone into even the smallest decor pieces. The director has a background in fine art and design, and I think that really shows in her sense of style 👍🏻

Besides semi-permanent tattoo work (eyebrows/eyeliner/beauty marks), Salon Dohe is also known for lash extensions and lash perms. I looked over the samples displayed in the shop one by one, and the lashes were so pretty I couldn't stop staring haha. I think I need to come back for lash extensions next time!! 🤩 I've been in a bit of a 'face slump' lately so I keep wanting to do something to my face ㅠㅠ haha

What is the shadow technique for eyebrow tattoos?

Before starting, the director gave me a thorough consultation. Since I had leftover pigment from before, she checked my current brow condition and explained which method would work best, suggesting the shadow technique. Rather than drawing lines, shadow-technique eyebrow tattooing builds up shading with tiny, densely packed dots — and apparently it settles into a more natural look after the skin peels, rather than right after the procedure.

I also filled out a questionnaire about my skin type and constitution beforehand. She checked everything carefully before proceeding, which put me at ease.

Recovery cream and the 3-day aftercare rules

Before the procedure, she gave me a recovery cream to use at home along with a separate sheet listing aftercare instructions. For 3 days including the treatment day, you shouldn't let water or cosmetics touch the area~!

The treatment room and numbing cream: does a brow tattoo hurt?

The consultation area and the treatment area were separated by a curtain and both were clean. Lying flat for a long time usually leaves my lower back floating uncomfortably, but there was a leg cushion ready on the bed, which made it really comfortable 🎶

Before starting, she applied numbing cream and I waited about 20 minutes — and honestly, it was amazing haha. At other places I've been to before, even with cream applied it still throbbed a bit. But whatever product the director at Salon Dohe uses, it really worked well.

After some time passed, she wiped off the cream — this is what my bare brows looked like before the new design. You can see patches where the color had faded and the shape was rough, right? And it wasn't symmetrical either.

How long the brow sketch took at Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch

The director shaped a design that suited my face, and she paid far more attention to detail than I expected. She didn't just draw it once and finish — she kept checking the shape and adjusting it little by little, putting quite a lot of time into this sketching process. Since even a slight change in eyebrow shape can change your whole impression, I personally loved how meticulously she handled this part ♥♥

Since it had been a while since my last eyebrow tattoo, I was a bit worried it might hurt. It genuinely didn't hurt at all lol. If anything, I was lying so comfortably that I nearly dozed off a few times. There was zero feeling of enduring pain while lying there, so I was able to get through it very comfortably 👍🏻👍🏻

Even after the procedure was done, she didn't just wrap things up right away — we checked the eyebrow shape together, one detail at a time. I appreciated that she carefully checked both sides and the overall look all the way to the end. I'd recommend this to anyone looking into eyebrow tattoos around Sanbon, or anyone like me considering a touch-up because traces of an old eyebrow tattoo are still lingering.
