The delicious-looking vegetables and meat arrived! I came here before too, and the portions are pretty generous — a great, hearty spread for a Samgakji lunch date at Shabu in Seoul Yongsan Main Branch!

Unlike shabu-shabu, they switch to a sukiyaki-specific pot and add the sweet-savory sukiyaki sauce.

Today's meat choice: Prime Angus chuck flap steak!

I enjoyed the eye of round last time, so this time I went with chuck flap instead. If you like that nicely marbled, nutty flavor, I recommend the chuck flap~!

And since I love vegetables and mushrooms so much, I ordered one extra vegetable plate! If you love meat, I recommend adding extra meat instead 💓

They add the vegetables and meat in moderate amounts and start boiling it. Honestly the most exciting moment ㅠㅠㅠ

Pulling out a piece of chuck flap from the bubbling broth to try 💓

The sukiyaki, soaked in that sweet-savory sauce and cooked through, dipped in the nutty egg yolk and popped in your mouth — out of this world delicious ㅠㅠ The sweet-savory sukiyaki sauce soaked into the tender chuck flap and seasoned it just right, and the richness from the egg yolk made it perfect 💓

Shabu in Seoul has such a wide variety of sauces that mixing and matching them means you never get tired of it..! And being able to taste so many different flavors — the best!

The meat is delicious, but the vegetables and tofu are really good too! It feels tasty and healthy at the same time ㅠㅠ This is why I can't quit shabu-shabu or sukiyaki ㅠㅠ Delicious food you can enjoy without feeling guilty!!

Finishing with yakisoba, then dessert

Once you've finished the sukiyaki, they prepare the next dish — for shabu-shabu it's fried rice, for sukiyaki it's yakisoba!!!! Made with the sukiyaki sauce, it's seriously amazing ㅠ

A sweet-savory combo that can't possibly taste bad!! Plus the mayonnaise sauce ㅠㅠ with bonito flakes and meat,, a perfect combination. This is why I love sukiyaki 🤎

Finishing off cleanly with a palate-cleansing dessert made for a complete meal!!!!
