Seongnam hair salon layered CS curls: Yeum Hair
In short
Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is a hair salon in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, a five-minute walk from Jeongja Station. After consulting Senior Designer Haneul, I had a CS magic-setting layered perm and a basic hair clinic for my heavily layered hair, taking about 4 hours. Verdict: the result was calm, natural curls with a neat finish.

My hair had been feeling a bit in-between lately, and I wanted a perm for a change of mood, so I visited Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch. I was worried about damage from the perm, so I added a clinic treatment too and took care of my hair at the same time 🤭 A little free-wife chance 🫶🏻
Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch: location, parking, and reservations
It is a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of Jeongja Station, so it was easy to reach by public transit, and the building parking lot also made driving convenient. The parking spaces felt fairly roomy, and the salon supports parking for up to 3 hours 30 minutes. Please note that any parking fee after the supported time is your own responsibility ✔️
These days, it is hard to visit a hair salon without a reservation! I booked ahead through Naver Booking. It was convenient because I could choose both the designer and treatment I wanted.
First impressions of Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch
Once you get off on the fourth floor, turn the corner and walk just a little way—the entrance to Yeum Hair Bundang Jeongja Branch is right there.

Perhaps it had not been open long, because there were congratulatory opening plants around, and the salon itself looked clean and sophisticated ✨

The phrase, “A space where we work to become part of customers’ lives through hairstyles,” and the explanation that Yeum means “a comfortable hair-design space where waves of art bloom” felt like they were pointing in a similar direction. It is not just about making hair pretty, but about finding each person’s style and letting that change settle naturally into daily life 🤎 That may be why the name Yeum Hair and the words at the entrance seemed to suit each other so well.

As you enter, A Yoon Chae products are displayed along with wood-toned shelves and indirect lighting, all blending nicely with the interior.
Thoughtful guidance from the locker room onward
First, there is a locker room where you can store your personal belongings.

My designer greeted me personally and took a gown from the Styler inside the salon to prepare it for me. I thought, oh, they manage customer gowns in a Styler too. Because they took care of even these small details themselves, I felt comfortably guided despite it being my first visit!
A comfortable yet pretty salon space
Once I stepped inside, the space itself felt comfortable and pretty, just like its name 🤎

Wood tones, white, and green come together here, and the large windows look out onto greenery, so it did not feel closed in.

Plants, vases, and little objects were placed throughout, while flowers and green decorations filled the styling area, creating an overall warm and tidy atmosphere 🌿 Being good at hair is important, of course, but I think a salon’s sense and service also come through in the atmosphere and little details of its space.
Consultation for CS curls with Senior Designer Haneul

After sitting down, I first had a consultation with Senior Designer Haneul. I explained the style I wanted, and Haneul made notes in something like a notebook while explaining how we would proceed. Since my hair has lots of layers, Haneul said S-curls could make it look puffy and that CS curls would be better, then adjusted the cut and thinned it out accordingly.

After the consultation, they also brought me a drink and some simple snacks before shampooing.
After shampooing, they carefully checked the level of damage too, and apparently different areas of hair can have slightly different damage levels! So they varied the products and the processing time for the solution according to each area’s condition.

Hair care with a basic clinic before the perm

This time, I started with the clinic before the perm. For reference, I paid extra for the basic hair clinic myself. They explained that a hair clinic is a process of replenishing nourishment in the hair, like building a solid skincare base before applying makeup.

They said having the clinic before a perm especially helps reduce damage from the treatment. They used Milbon’s heat-protection repair line. The basic clinic had two steps: step one before the perm and step two midway through it. They put on a warm neck towel as well, and I could relax comfortably while waiting.
CS layered perm process

After the clinic, they dried my hair and lightly smoothed the necessary sections on top with a flat iron before beginning the perm.

Next, they applied the perm solution and got properly started.

The treatment took quite a while, but they brought tea along the way and had everything from a charger to a blanket and cushion ready, so I could stay comfortable. I also appreciated how carefully the assistant who helped during the process looked after every little thing.

After the perm process, I went over for neutralizing and… there was a massage chair? I loved getting a massage too. Having a massage in the middle of such a long hair appointment eased my fatigue—it was total healing itself 🤎
After shampooing, they did the clinic one more time, then brought me back to the chair to dry my hair after finishing the clinic. I think it took almost 4 hours in total!

Rather than styling it separately with a blow-dry, they finished it by drying it forward at first, then only flipping the ends to the side while drying! Finally, they applied hair essence after drying it 🤎
Because I have many layers, they looked at my hair and gave me a CS-curl magic-setting perm, and I think it came out calm and neat! They also explained clearly how to care for it after the perm and how to dry my hair 😊
Calm, natural CS layered curls complete

Honestly, the style did not come through in photos quite as beautifully as it looked in person, but in real life the CS curls were neat, natural, and pretty.
I was worried about hair damage while getting the perm, but perhaps because I had the clinic first, it felt tidy at the end without any dryness. The appointment was long, but it was also nice that they thoughtfully provided everything from tea and a charger to a blanket and cushion, so I could have my hair done comfortably.

Senior Designer Haneul also handled the entire process carefully according to my hair’s condition, so I was satisfied! If you are looking into a layered perm or clinic around Bundang Jeongja, this may be helpful to keep in mind when searching for a Jeongja hair salon ❣️
