In short

It's autumn and my appetite's back up haha, so I might be visiting more often from now on ꒰ ͒⸝⸝ᴗ . ᴗ⸝⸝ ͒꒱ So here's a place I want to introduce! A Nonhyeon pork belly spot in Gangnam you can hit for round two, round three, any time — today's post is about Gangnam's 24-hour restaurant "Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch"!!

Where is Daepae Market near Nonhyeon Station, and is there outdoor seating?
Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch is right near Nonhyeon Station! Super accessible since it's close to the station, and maybe that's why it was so packed hahaha. They also have outdoor tent seating, and it seemed like a lot of people were going for outdoor pork belly now that the weather's nice!

The inside was so packed too ㅠㅠ it was actually hard to take photos! But the hall was really spacious and the seats weren't crammed together, so it felt comfortable. There's a range hood over every seat, so even with all the people, the inside never got smoky, haha.

Prices: pork belly at 4,900 won, self-serve bar at 2,000 won per person
You order through the tablet at each table! There's a basic table charge (self-serve bar fee) of ₩2,000 per person, and the daepae pork belly is only ₩4,900! Is there anywhere else in Gangnam you can eat meat at this price...ღ´͈ ᵕ `͈ )♡⃛(´͈ ᵕ `͈ ღ Truly the kind of price that makes you say 'insane value.'
And on top of that there's a review event too....... ꒰ᐢ ෆ ·̫ ෆ ᐢ꒱っ◝🩵 Leave a Naver receipt review and they'll give you a free doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) or tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties) — don't forget!!

Pork sliced to order: two diners, three servings at naengsam thickness
At this Gangnam 24-hour spot, Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch, you can see the whole open kitchen where the pork is sliced fresh! They start slicing the moment you order and bring it right out, which makes it feel even more trustworthy and delicious (ᐡ´• ·̫•(-‧̫ -`ᐡ)

There were two of us, and we ordered three servings! The pork comes out rolled up in curls straight from the slicing machine, haha. You can choose daepae (very thin) or naengsam (thin-cut) thickness — we went with naengsam for all three servings!

What's on the self-serve bar: macaroni, corn salad, chrysanthemum greens, minari, angelica
Here's the seasonings and basic side dishes we brought back from the self-serve bar! I loved that there was macaroni and corn salad at the self-serve bar, haha. A lot of BBQ restaurants these days don't even give basic side dishes, but here they had this much variety just from the self-serve bar ㅠㅠ With all the mushrooms and vegetables too, it was almost strange that they only charge ₩2,000 per person...!!

The green onion kimchi was so good too! We also grabbed enoki mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, and bean sprouts to grill. For wrap greens, besides the usual lettuce and perilla leaves, there was chrysanthemum greens, minari, and angelica — things you don't often see! Highly recommend for anyone who loves wrap veggies... ໒꒰ྀི ˃̵ ꒳ ˂̵ ྀི꒱১ If this place were near my house I'd go every day!! I wish this 24-hour Gangnam spot were closer to home ㅠ ㅠ

Grilled green onion kimchi and minari are the highlight
Grilling time ૮₍´。・⩊・ 。`₎ა The minari was seriously the MVP!! There's a reason minari-pork belly places exist... And an unexpected star: grilled green onion kimchi! The kimchi was already good on its own, but grilling it brought out even more umami, so it was even more delicious~! It went so well with the naengsam-thickness pork belly, haha.

Finishing with sesame oil fried rice
Of course we had to order the essential Korean post-meal dish, fried rice! It came with egg, roasted seaweed flakes, garlic, green onion, and kimchi! They'd already cracked the egg in for us, which was really convenient haha.

We added extra shredded green onion and sliced garlic we'd brought from the self-serve bar and mixed it all in! Doesn't it look totally delicious...ꉂ (ᐡ˃̶͈ ﻌ ˂̶͈⸝⸝ᐡ) With the sesame oil provided at every table added in, it got even more fragrant and delicious! An unexpectedly great spot for sesame oil... maybe because it's right next to Yeongdong Market?!! It didn't taste like the supermarket stuff at all...!!
Being able to have a meal at this kind of value in Gangnam is such a great thing...!! It's not just about value, they've nailed the taste too — genuinely a great restaurant... there's a reason they have so many celebrity signatures on the wall, haha. Fresh, varied self-serve bar and delicious meat all around — this was my review of the 24-hour Gangnam spot "Daepae Market Gangnam Nonhyeon Branch"!
