Nampo-dong in Busan is always crowded, and today I went to Juju Norae Town, a Nampo-dong bar, to enjoy some drinking and singing. It's the perfect second stop after a meal, conveniently located near Gukje Market and Bupyeong Kkangtong Market.

Where is Juju Norae Town, and how does weekday unlimited time work?

Juju Norae Town sits on the 4th floor of a building on the Nampo-dong and Bupyeong-dong bar street, making it a great spot for a second or third round. There's also an event where guests who arrive before 8pm get a free bottle of soju or 500cc beer.

What are the private rooms at Juju Norae Town like?

What I like about this Nampo-dong bar is having our own time in a private room. It's clearly well maintained too — the room felt quite clean, no stickiness on the floor at all. They had the air conditioning already running, so we got to enjoy a cool room the moment we walked in.

They seem to have rooms in various sizes, including ones big enough for groups, so it could be great for year-end office dinners or gatherings. It's also a good Nampo-dong bar for a Chuseok reunion — drinking and singing with family you haven't seen in a while, blowing off stress.

Ordering is convenient since you can do it right from the tablet in the room! There's a huge variety of drinks.

The 7 free side dishes and 7 seasonal fruits

At Juju Norae Town, a Nampo-dong bar in Busan, ordering drinks gets you seven complimentary side dishes as a base. Fried egg, popcorn chicken, patbingsu (shaved ice dessert), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), mini bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastry), dried fish, and even ramyeon!!

Since we could already enjoy so many basic side dishes, at karaoke bars I usually order fruit as well. Seven kinds of seasonal fruit came out too, which we snacked on between songs.

Since I was visiting Busan, I debated getting Daesun (a local soju brand) but ended up ordering it out of habit, haha.

Microphone covers and 180 minutes of singing

When they first showed us the room, I liked that they gave us hygienic mic covers as well.

The remote had a popular songs list, which made picking songs easy. Once we started singing, flashy lighting completely changed the mood. The mic echo was as good as the clean room condition, and the initial 180 minutes on weekdays meant we could enjoy it without any pressure — a great Nampo-dong bar.

We started with ballads and worked our way up to dance tracks. Three hours flew by in an instant. Since it was a weekday, they kept adding bonus time, and we ended up leaving because we were exhausted from singing, haha. A Nampo-dong bar with seriously generous service.

Ramyeon to finish and free ice cream on the way out

Of course, the perfect ending to karaoke is ramyeon (instant noodles). The nice touch of adding an egg was amazing!!

I always wonder — is it the same ramyeon, but somehow it tastes different at home versus outside versus at a karaoke bar? Maybe it's because we'd just sung and drunk our hearts out, but karaoke ramyeon really is the best.
