Jamsil baseball stadium café with mango bingsu: Bingdongdaeng

In short

Bingdongdaeng is a bingsu café food truck at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa, Seoul. I paired its sweet mango bingsu with cream shrimp and loaded fries while watching the Doosan game—and the runs kept coming. Verdict: a lucky pre-game snack stop for first-base seating.

It has been SUCH a long time! Yesterday, September 10, was the day they gave out the LimitiDo uniforms, so I went to the ballpark haha. Jamsil Baseball Stadium is seriously a food mountain, so you have to buy the tasty stuff quickly before it sells out! I loaded up on bingsu, fries, and cream shrimp from the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food trucks, then cheered while eating it all in the first-base navy seats!

September 10 was the Doosan vs. Kiwoom game! It was the second LimitiDo uniform giveaway day; the last one had been cancelled because of the heat wave, but they held it again this time~ So I worked hard at getting tickets(?) and went!

Jamsil Baseball Stadium’s outfield is famous for not having much food, but right here there is Station’s cream shrimp food truck, Bingdongdaeng’s bingsu, and Ippeun Yeowu Hot Dog. It is great for people in the first-base outfield, or for grabbing something on the way into the first-base infield seats!

The place for great cream shrimp at Jamsil Baseball Stadium is… here! The sauce is especially totally my taste~~ haha. Station is a first-base favorite that I stop by now and then when I come to the ballpark, because you can have nachos with the cream shrimp too!

Station has nachos, but it also sells Gonsam, a popular konjac pork belly mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in broth), especially in hot summer weather!

Station, the Jamsil Baseball Stadium cream shrimp spot with plump shrimp inside!! It is the frontmost of the three food trucks, right past the GS convenience store.

They pack it in a box with a handle, so it is easy to carry safely all the way to the first-base infield navy seats~ Open the box and there is cream shrimp that is crispy outside and tender inside! Under the cream shrimp are crunchy nachos, too! You eat the nachos with the cream shrimp sauce, and the sauce is seriously… so delicious!!

Shrimp and nachos, too—Station’s cream shrimp is two birds with one stone!! The sauce is a white cream sauce, but I think it has a subtle little kick? So even though it is creamy, it never gets heavy, and I kept reaching for it!!! If you want cream shrimp at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, I absolutely recommend Station Nacho’s cream flavor haha.

At Bingdongdaeng, where bingsu is the answer, there are four kinds of bingsu: snowflake red bean, chocolate Oreo, strawberry, and mango! There are also bunsik (Korean snack foods) menu items, making this a great Jamsil Baseball Stadium food stop for buying a main and dessert together!

At Bingdongdaeng, I always tend to get the mango bingsu! Why~? Because the mango is so sweet and delicious.

And they put in a really generous amount of mango, too! The moment mango bingsu becomes a cheering stick… While I was eating this, Doosan’s offense was doing SO well. What is happening? Hahahaha. We decided to call it lucky bingsu…

Bingdongdaeng’s bingsu is delicious because it is made with milk ice rather than plain water ice, so even the ice is soft and tasty! The mango is frozen mango, but its flavor really comes through, and with mango syrup added, you get a very sweet mango bingsu! I ate it on a slightly cool day, but it was still so sweet and delicious haha.

There are five types of hot dogs and three types of fries~ It is a popular place people line up for in Gyeongju, and it is so nice that you can enjoy it at Jamsil Baseball Stadium too!

First of all, the toppings are just artistry… They do not skimp on toppings, which immediately raises the satisfaction level!! I ordered the Mexican chipotle fries! Soft fries were generously drizzled with chipotle sauce, chili sauce, and cheese sauce, so I could enjoy lots of different flavors haha.

With three sauces, every bite had so many different flavors, making these fries even more and more and more delicious!! They were generous with the toppings too, so it was easy to keep eating the fries and toppings together~

Lucky food that brought on the runs

I had mango bingsu, fries, and cream shrimp from the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food trucks because I wanted to eat them while cheering… and while I watched baseball and ate, the runs kept coming... Once we finished everything, they could not score even one run..;; So we decided to call the Jamsil Baseball Stadium food truck snacks lucky food… hahahahahahahahahaha

There are three food trucks gathered beside the first-base outfield entrance at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, so they are easy to buy from even in the food-scarce outfield. You also pass them before entering the first-base infield seats, so they are good for first-base infield visitors too. If you are looking for something delicious at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, I recommend stopping by the Bingdongdaeng, Ippeun Yeowu Hot Dog, and Station food trucks before going inside!
