Hanwoo set 400g, sirloin and galbisal for two: Yong Hanu Myeongji
In short
Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch is a 1++ grade hanwoo (Korean beef) BBQ restaurant in Myeongji International City, Gangseo, Busan. The hanwoo set (400g, serves 2) pairs sirloin with beef galbisal (rib meat), served with a seafood doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and the portions were generous enough that even a light eater finished the galbisal with sirloin still left on the grill. I went to Yong Hanu, a hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant with insane marbling, and properly ate through a 400g set — sirloin plus galbisal! ☺️
It's good for dates but also works as a place for gatherings or work dinners, and it's already known as a great hanwoo spot haha.
True to top-grade 1++ hanwoo, the marbling was dense enough to get me excited just looking at it, and once grilled it delivered real juiciness and nutty flavor. The restaurant was also clean and spacious, comfortable to eat in, and the vibe wasn't too heavy — good for dates, family meals, gatherings, or work dinners alike!
Parking at Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch
There's parking space in front of the building, so I parked there. Lots of people park in the alley too, so parking shouldn't really be a worry.
The interior and seating

The interior had a clean, sleek black-and-wood design. The space is spacious overall with comfortable seating, so it looks fine for work dinners too. Each marble table had corn sitting right on the grill, which felt like a nice touch.

The tables are wide, and the basic side dishes and table setting came generously and neatly on nice tableware, making it feel like a good place to treat someone.

Great pairings with meat came out: scallion salad and good gat-kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) that's tasty this season, plus salad. Also the meat essentials — wasabi, garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), whole grain mustard sauce, pickled peppers, pickled radish greens, and pickled gungchae — all arrived.
The menu and what we ordered

The outdoor menu board was easier to read, so I'm attaching that. We ordered from the tabletop kiosk. Since we wanted to try different parts, we got the hanwoo set (400g for 2) plus a seafood doenjang jjigae, and a cool Sprite. I liked seeing zero-alcohol beer on the menu too haha.
There's also a premium set with hanwoo nunkkot, salchisal, and saeu-sal included. We went with the set (400g), the value-for-money signature menu.

The set comes with 1++ top-grade sirloin and beef galbisal together. It seems like plenty of people order galbisal or sirloin on their own too, in decent quantities.

For drinks there was cola, zero cola, Sprite, Fanta and more. It was fun that they even had goldfish-shaped sashimi listed.

There's also a wide range of alcohol — whiskey, highball, sake, draft beer, Terra, Jinro soju, and more. We were going to have a drink, but since my friend wasn't feeling great, we ordered Sprite instead.

For meal menu items, there was hanwoo sashimi, yukhoe (beef tartare), meat doenjang for 2, and seafood doenjang for 2. They said if you take part in the receipt review event, you get a free hanwoo yukhoe.

There was a QR code at every table to connect to the Wi-Fi, which was really nice.
The 400g set, starting with galbisal
The hanwoo set arrives. The color of the beef looks so good. Beautiful. They ground fresh pepper over it right there with a grinder. Check out that marbling. It also came with quaripepper (shishito-style peppers) and sweet pumpkin.

We put the beef galbisal on the grill first. The sizzling sound as it cooked was like ASMR — so satisfying.

Once the grill heated up and the meat went on, that sizzling sound and nutty aroma started rising. The heat was pretty strong so the meat cooked fast. Since it's hanwoo, I didn't grill it too long — took a bite right when it was just cooked enough, and it really was tender and delicious. First bite, dipped lightly in pink salt, of course.

Adding wasabi made the juices burst out even more. Wasabi and beef is truly the best combo... I prefer my beef browned on the outside but slightly rare inside, only lightly cooked. That way the beef stays more tender and packed with juice, tastier.

Cheers with a glass of Sprite! And the gat-kimchi pairing went down so well too.
How was the 1++ sirloin?

The sirloin cooked through quickly on the grill. Between the pale pink meat, white fat was evenly and finely woven in, so I had high hopes the moment it hit the grill.

The sirloin was high quality too, so I flipped it gently now and then.

I thought hanwoo portions would be small, but wow, Yong Hanu really gives you a lot of meat! I'm a light eater, so I was already full after the galbisal, but there was still sirloin left. I was already full, but with delicious meat right in front of me, I couldn't just let it sit there. So I decided to eat a little of the sirloin too haha.

We also grilled the quaripepper, sweet pumpkin, and king oyster mushrooms — why were the vegetables this good too haha. The meat quality was great and juicy, so I was very satisfied.

We put the assorted galbisal on too. The assorted galbisal melted right in the mouth. I was really full, but since it was so good, more just kept going in.
Finishing with seafood doenjang jjigae
After meat, a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) to cleanse the palate is a must, right? We ordered the seafood version.

The seafood doenjang jjigae had beef in it too, plus blue crab, zucchini, onion, tofu — hearty ingredients that made it refreshing. If I hadn't been so full, I would've added rice and made a doenjang rice soup ㅠㅠㅠ
Ordering the set let us enjoy two different cuts of 1++ hanwoo together, and being top-grade beef, it was fresh, tender, and full of juice.
If you're looking for a good restaurant in Myeongji, Busan, a Myeongji meat spot, or a Myeongji hanwoo restaurant, I'd recommend Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch, where you can eat a set with a variety of hanwoo cuts.
