Seogwipo galbi for two with Jeju sundae and pork skin: Donsahyang
In short
Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch is a Jeju pork restaurant near Olle Market and Arangjeoeul Street in Seogwipo. On this return visit the order was manong galbi (garlic-marinated ribs) for two, Jeju sundae (blood sausage) and pork skin, with the staff grilling the ribs at the table, the sundae seared on the same pan and the pork skin closing the meal. Donsahyang is a good pick when you want marinated meat rather than raw black pork.

This visit diary covers Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch, a Jeju meat restaurant.
Where is Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch in Seogwipo?
Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch is a meat restaurant at 20 Cheonji-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju. It's close to Seogwipo Olle Market, so it's easy to swing by for dinner after browsing the market, and being near Arangjeoeul Street made it easy to find.

While looking for somewhere to eat dinner in Seogwipo, Jeju, I went back to Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch, a place I'd visited once before. Since I already knew the place, it felt familiar, and this time I ordered something different from before — manong galbi for two, Jeju sundae, and pork skin. It's close to Olle Market too, so it's easy to stop by before or after browsing the market, and it's a Jeju restaurant where you can eat properly Jeju-style dishes all in one meal.

For parking, the nearby public parking lot is convenient, and in the evening a lot of people use street parking too.
Donsahyang opening hours and closed days
Open daily 17:30–23:00, last order 22:00, closed on the second Tuesday of every month. Since it only operates in the evening, it was a perfect way to end a day at Olle Market.
Inside Donsahyang and the self-serve greens corner

I remembered the place from before — the restaurant is fairly small overall. Even so, the tables weren't too cramped, so it was comfortable to grill and eat, and customers kept coming in steadily during dinner time. The walls and overall vibe weren't overly decorated — more like a cozy local Jeju meat restaurant — and honestly I liked that even more.
There's a self-serve corner too, where the wrap greens are basically self-serve by default. Being able to help yourself to as much as you want was a big plus.
The Donsahyang menu and what we ordered

Donsahyang has a wide range of meat options, from Jeju black pork to doldol manongsal (garlic pork skewers), marinated meats, and pork skin.

What we ordered that day was manong galbi for two, Jeju sundae, and pork skin. Instead of sticking to just one type of meat, I wanted to try some Jeju-style dishes too, so I added the sundae and pork skin.
Side dishes: marinated raw crab

The side dish was yangnyeom gejang (seasoned raw crab), and it was already enough on its own to finish a whole bowl of rice with. But since the main event was the manong galbi, I just waited for the ribs to cook, haha.

What does manong galbi (garlic-marinated ribs) taste like?
The main dish we ordered this time was manong galbi. In Jeju dialect, manong means garlic. The garlic-infused marinade gave it a bit more depth of flavor than regular marinated pork ribs.
The owner or a staff member grills the manong galbi for you, and they're genuinely good at it. Rib meat is actually pretty tricky to grill, but they cooked it just right without burning it, and it was completely delicious.

Since it's marinated meat, the longer it cooked on the grill, the more a sweet, savory aroma rose up, and that's when my appetite really kicked in. The sauce wasn't too salty or intense — more the kind that goes well with rice — so I kept reaching for more.

If you've only had raw black pork in Jeju, I'd recommend also trying a marinated dish like manong galbi.

Jeju sundae (blood sausage) seared on the grill
We also ordered Jeju sundae (blood sausage) alongside the meat. Eating sundae together at a meat restaurant felt a bit unusual, but it actually went surprisingly well.

Grilled lightly on the pan, the outside got a bit chewier while the inside stayed moist — I liked that. Alternating between the meat and a piece of sundae now and then changed up the texture and made the meal more fun. Being able to eat sundae alongside the meat is what makes Donsahyang a bit different from other Jeju meat restaurants.

Finishing the meal with grilled pork skin
And of course, pork skin — you can't skip it. Since it needed a different grill setup than the manong galbi, they swapped out the center part of the pan and grilled it fresh. You haven't really finished a meat meal properly until you've capped it off with pork skin, haha.
Grilled to a golden brown on the pan, the outside gets slightly crispy while the inside stays chewy.

It's good even plain, but dipping it in sauce or soybean powder added a nutty flavor that made it even better. Even after all the manong galbi and Jeju sundae, the pork skin was still something I could keep eating separately — a perfect way to finish the meal.
I'd been to Donsahyang before, so this time I tried different menu items, and it was great to enjoy a different combination than my first visit.
- Manong galbi: sweet with a garlic aroma that works really well
- Jeju sundae: fun to grill and eat alongside the meat
- Pork skin: a chewy way to end the meal

Cream sauce instead of garlic sauce
Manong galbi also comes with a cream sauce option besides the garlic sauce, and it was surprisingly good — I didn't expect it to pair so well. It was an unusual combination, but the kind of flavor you keep thinking about.

Having so many menu options is what makes Donsahyang great for repeat visits — you can try a different combination every time.

For dessert, Donsahyang gave us a yogurt drink. It was just right to cleanse the palate at the end.
Is Donsahyang worth a return visit?
I went back to Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch because I had good memories from my first visit. This time we ordered manong galbi for two along with Jeju sundae and pork skin, and overall the combination worked really well together — very satisfying. Being close to Olle Market makes it easy to stop by for dinner after browsing the market, and being able to enjoy Jeju-style meats and sides all in one sitting was a plus. If you're looking for a Jeju meat restaurant in Seogwipo for black pork or marinated meat, I'd recommend Donsahyang Olle Market Main Branch.
