It’s the VIVA Trade vintage shop on the fifth floor of Dongdaemun’s Dundaun Building—the very building right in front of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station~

How much are the section-by-section discounts?

Before I even started browsing, I could see what kinds of clothes each section had and how much would be taken off the tagged price! Viva Trade applies discounts by section to the prices on the clothing tags. The prices weren’t high to begin with, and then there were even more discounts—30% to 50%, which was a higher discount than I expected, so I was already sooo excited from the start~

The shop itself is spacious, too, with lots of clothing! The staff kept tidying the clothes with a steamer, so there was none of that musty smell, and everything was in very, very good condition!

Can you comfortably try on vintage clothes?

Neat fitting rooms

Is it just me, or do tiny fitting rooms and mirrors at Dongmyo and other vintage shops make you not want to try anything on? You need to try vintage clothing to know the fit, but if you just buy it, you end up regretting it once you get home~ Viva Trade completely removes that worry, with truly, truly large fitting rooms and mirrors and a layout that makes trying on clothes so easy~

+ The shop interior was so pretty, too, and there were LP records set up in front of the fitting rooms—such a useful little point when you’re waiting for a friend! I really loved the carts, too. Shopping gets tiring when your hands are loaded up with things, but Viva Trade makes me want to shop.. A shop that understands a vintage shopper’s heart..

A wide selection, from clothing to collectibles

As a vintage fanatic, I’m the kind of person who even drives out from Seoul to warehouse-style vintage shops in the surrounding area~ I like places where I can see and buy a wide variety of things all at once, so I was sooo happy to find this many items at good prices so close by! With discounts applied, they came to around ₩30,000–₩40,000, which made me so, so happy! I’ll show you everything in detail~

As someone who works out, the Calvin bra tops in the ₩20,000 range caught my eye, along with sweater zip-ups you can casually throw over something in winter and instantly look like the lead in a British TV drama, you know the vibe.. You don’t often see things like that..

And then, suddenly, some delightful vintage collectibles: Hello Kitty and Miffy collections! There were also vintage dishes that are hard to find online, on sale~!

There were sooo many T-shirts that look like something a coffee-making Australian barista would wear,

I could try on international-brand windbreakers, jeans and cotton pants, sporty shorts and work jackets, plus accessories like belts, furry hats, and scarves~ Time seriously flies by..

Isn’t it such a feast for the eyes.. The range was truly huge, from summer clothes to winter clothes, and from business looks to party looks. Throw on a colorful-collar polo or Tommy shirt with black work pants and it looks so cool, right.. And the shirts hanging here had absolutely no stains and were in such clean condition that I felt you could wear them for another 10 years after buying them. Isn’t that the charm of vintage~

I also picked out women’s dresses and retro items

Lately, I’ve been taking more interest in vintage women’s skirts and dresses, and there were so, so many pretty dresses and skirts..! You can score women’s high-end brands like Theory and mink vests in great condition at good prices.

Vintage tablecloths

Suddenly, retro!! I’m telling you, time really flies..!! The cameras were in such good condition, too, so if you usually love digital cameras, I think it would be great to go pick one out at Viva Trade..!

The flower dresses I chose over two hours

Aren’t the flower dresses so pretty? They’re by Fever London, a brand that hasn’t entered Korea, and you don’t just come across designs like that easily.. You know you’d have to crouch down and dig through Dongmyo for at least 50 minutes just to maybe find one? But at Viva Trade~ you can comfortably try them on, compare them, and get a discount~

Why haven’t you come.. Seriously.. I even promised my older sister that when we come next time, we’ll stop here first~
