Seongsu burger restaurant for eggplant fritters and milkshake: bd

Today I'm sharing my visit to 'bd Burger Seongsu Station Yeonmujang-gil Lunch & Dinner' 🍔 bd Burger specializes in shrimp burgers packed with whole shrimp, but of course they also sell meat-patty burgers!

I went in with high expectations after seeing tons of overwhelming-looking reviews online, and it did not disappoint (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ Let's get into the review!

bd Burger Seongsu: location, hours, parking

• Location: 7 Seongsuiro14-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, 2nd floor
• Hours: 11:30 ~ 21:00 (last order 20:30)
• Facilities: No parking available

There's no on-site parking, so you'll need to use a nearby paid lot! (Musinsa Megastore paid parking lot, Seongsu Station Exit 3 public paid parking lot)

It's about an 8-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 3! Since it's fairly close, public transit works fine too 🍀

bd Burger's signature items are the Wasabi Shrimp Burger, Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger, Eggplant Fritters, and Milkshake.

Wasabi Shrimp Burger (₩11,900 single / ₩17,900 set) — a burger where you can really feel the punch of wasabi paired with a plump, juicy shrimp patty 🦐

Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger (₩12,900 single / ₩18,900 set) — the charred flavor of the shrimp and its light sweetness pair nicely with a spicy sriracha sauce 🥑

Eggplant Fritters (₩6,900) — crispy fritter shell with moist eggplant inside 🍆 (I ordered these without much expectation but they were seriously delicious.. definitely recommend ordering)

Milkshake (₩5,900) — bd Burger's special house milkshake 🥤

What we ordered

bd Burger specializes in shrimp burgers so those are the stars, but we ordered one shrimp-patty burger and one meat-patty burger to try both!

We got the Wasabi Shrimp Burger set + Double Cheese Burger set, with eggplant fritters and butter garlic fries on the side, and cola plus a milkshake to drink.

Just look at how overwhelming this looks in photos?! I was especially surprised by how much sauce was on the butter garlic fries..(°o°) The eggplant fritters come with sriracha mayo sauce.

Wasabi Shrimp Burger

This is the Wasabi Shrimp Burger! The shrimp patty is incredible 🦐 I'd never had such a plump shrimp patty burger before. The patty alone takes up half the height of the burger!

Overall it went really well with the sharp bite of wasabi, and because it's a shrimp patty, there was no weird texture — just delicious. The bun matters a lot when eating a burger, and this one was soft and tasty rather than dry, which made it even better!

Double Cheese Burger

This is the Double Cheese Burger! Since this place is so serious about handmade burgers, especially the shrimp patty ones, I expected to like the shrimp burger more, but the Double Cheese Burger was even better than expected.. The patty was so juicy that the juices kept flowing, and it paired amazingly with the melty cheese 🧀🍔 Truly a textbook handmade burger flavor.

Eggplant Fritters

Next up, the Eggplant Fritters! Meant to be dipped in sriracha mayo sauce. I don't usually eat eggplant much.. I went back and forth on ordering it, but got it since it's a signature item.

If I hadn't ordered it, I would have regretted it..(❛◡❛)✿ Crispy on the outside, moist eggplant inside — the textbook definition of crispy-outside-soft-inside☆. Eating it with the sriracha mayo sauce cuts through what could otherwise be a heavy flavor, so you just keep eating. Eggplant fritters, highly recommended..

Butter Garlic Fries

This is the Butter Garlic Fries 🥔 I was expecting them to be visually overwhelming based on other reviews. And just like in the photos, they came out completely loaded with sauce ✧･ﾟ: It's that familiar butter garlic fries flavor everyone knows, but the fries are also seasoned themselves, so the deliciousness doubles haha. I think this might be the ultimate fries.

Cola & Milkshake

Last up: cola & milkshake 🥤 bd Burger's signature milkshake tasted like condensed milk from the first sip! Reminded me of a sweet soft-serve cone. Even though it's a milkshake, it had a chewy texture ♡ Eating it with the butter garlic fries was such a sweet-and-salty combo, haha.

bd Burger is located on the 2nd floor!

Just look for the cute bd Burger poster. Climb the stairs and you'll find bd Burger (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

Interior and self-serve bar

The interior is clean and neat as shown in the photos! Interestingly, some 3-seat tables had an extra chair added 😊

While we were eating, foreign customers came in too, along with couples and groups of friends! The overall atmosphere was nice, so it seemed like a good spot for a date course too ･ﾟ✧

There's a self-serve bar tucked in one corner of the store! Most things you need — plates, forks, knives — you can grab from the self-serve bar, and ketchup too. You can also refill your soda once! Not many places offer refills, so that was a nice touch 😊

A must-visit handmade burger spot in Seongsu, 'bd Burger' 🍔 The best handmade burger I've had *:･ﾟ✧

The shrimp patties are especially thick and packed with plump shrimp, so anyone who loves shrimp burgers will absolutely love this place. Visit on a weekday for lunch to enjoy it at a great value, and the atmosphere is nice enough to recommend for a date course or a lunch/dinner stop while out and about in Seongsu-dong ☆
